Ten years ago, we had one student from Ohio. Today, Ohio has 14 medalists, the 11th highest in the country, and the majority of them are from YGIC. YGIC students have been part of volunteering in the community, giving an average of 2500 hours a year.

From 2010 until now, 110 of our children have gone through this program. Dare to say, YGIC has produced the highest number of Congressional Award recipients in the USA.

Library: We are collecting Indian educational and cultural books. We are hoping to have a library of 3000 books in 3 years. We are also planning to ship some books out to schools in rural mountains of Nepal. We received some hard-to-find books written by India’s first president Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. If you have some gems and want others to enjoy and be kept carefully for years, please send it to us. Our address is 2579 LILLIAN LANE, BEAVERCREEK, OH 45431. The library is named after Mahiti and attached to Dr. Malati and Ganesh Potdar Indian American Heritage center.

Student Volunteers:Thanks to the children who worked for a full year showing resilience every week to be there in spite of their busy schedules. Taking the time for others and keeping up the promises - they are going to go places. Aditya, Aneesh, Nithya, Anshula, Nikhil, Shreyas, Sai Tej, Adwait and Sarath (WSU) are our student heroes for 2020-21.
