In Loving Memory of Ariel 🕊️
It’s with the heaviest hearts that we share Ariel crossed the rainbow bridge.
Ariel came to the shelter with her kittens in April in the not so greatest circumstances. She and her kittens were sent to a wonderful foster, so that she would have a safe space to raise her family. She was FIV+, a diagnosis that too often makes people look away. But Ariel never let that define her. She was sweet, soulful, and full of quiet dignity. She loved soft blankets, and the simple safety of her foster room.
She had just weaned her kittens and was on her way to her own new beginning. Tragically, Ariel passed away during her spay surgery. We are devastated.
FIV+ cats can live long, beautiful lives. Ariel deserved that chance. While her time with us was too short, she mattered. She was loved. And she will be remembered.
Please keep Ariel’s foster family, in your thoughts. And if you’ve ever considered fostering or adopting an FIV+ cat, do it in her honor. Their love is worth it.
