She Thought She Could SUSHI DID

She Thought She Could SUSHI DID Yma thought of this at age 9. It's been a while in the making!

As a vegetarian kid who LOVES sushi and who ALSO LOVES contributing to positive change in the world and to align justice, compassion, and truth...She Thought She Could SUSHI DID was born!

Yma thought of this idea herself at age 9.

As a vegetarian kid who LOVES sushi and who also LOVES to contribute to positive change in the world and to show up with courage in the face of injustice and to do her small part in making a difference...

Yma noticed that there are SO FEW vegetarian options at sushi restaurants! (Even though there are SO MANY WAYS to make AMAZING VEGETARIAN SUSHI ROLLS!)!!!

Yma thought of the idea to start making her own vegetarian sushi rolls for other people who also want some variety in their veggie sushi options...and to use the veggie sushi to contribute to communities and organizations that need money. She thought that this would be a fun (and tasty) way to raise money where money is needed.

Yma is giving away 50% of her profits to differnt organizations each month.

This is her pilot plan. Once we get an idea of local customer demand verses cost to operate, Yma says that she would like to revaluate and potentially begin to donate more than 50% percent of her profits as her endeavor evolves over time.

EACH MONTH: Yma is choosing a different organization to donate profits to each month.
THE FIRST FEW ORGANIZATIONS SHE WOULD LIKE TO DONATE TO ARE:

***Palestine Children's Relief Fund***
A non-profit providing medical relief to children in Palestine.
Ultimately, Yma wants peace and a cease-fire. Until then, she would like to help in her own tiny way to bring a bit of relief to the suffering children of this brutal genocide that is being funded by our U.S. taxes. We feel the weight of this grief in our hearts, as well as the collective grief globally, that we also are holding at this time of absolute devastation.

***NorCal Resist******
NorCal Resist is a local organization for us, here in Sacramento. This local organization tends to the new-coming community members who are immigrants and helps to provide basic needs such as food, diapers, formula, blankets, etc...to people who are brought into California's capital city sometimes in inhumane ways by bus and dumped off as if they do not deserve integrity. NorCal Resist offers many different resources to our new community members and we welcome these families who deserve to be treated with dignity and with care and to have their basic needs met.

***California Pitbull Rescue***
A non-profit that helps facilitate stigmatized dog breeds (who are actually the most loving dogs imaginable)! to find their forever homes.

At this time, as Yma puts out her first big effort to begin her project, she is hoping to cover the initial startup costs:
-CLASS A "COTTAGE FOOD OPERATOR" IN YOLO COUNTY: $389 per year
-FOOD HANDLER SAFETY CERTIFICATE: (approximately $20)
-FOOD LABELS, ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY CONTAINERS, COOLER WITH WHEELS, TABLE FOR FARMER'S MARKET, AND OTHR INITAL STARTUP COSTS (approximately $200)

We thank you for supporting Yma in her effort to contribute to humanity.
