The veggies are here!

Our ladies are thrilled to harvest their first vegetables of the season - broccoli and beans. They planted an ambitious garden this spring and have been out there daily tending, weeding and anticipating.

Now they get to plan some farm-to-plate meals where they can enjoy the fruit of their labor.

Cristine (holding the broccoli) spearheaded the project and is known to remind the girls, “The bigger the plants get, the closer we get to God.”

The patience and perseverance it takes to grow your own food helps our women develop new hobbies, connect with God, and see the value of small day-to-day effort that yields a bountiful harvest.

Well done!

Whether it's Father's Day or an ordinary weekend, one of our greatest joys is watching fathers come home—not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.

We love seeing dads who are sober, present, and engaged in their children's lives. Dads who are breaking cycles. Dads who are showing their kids what faithfulness, integrity, and perseverance look like.

That's exactly what we're seeing in Allen's story.

Allen recently celebrated 46 months of sobriety. Just one year ago, he walked out of prison and into One Eighty, determined to build a different future. Since then, God has continued to write a NEW STORY in his life.

There have been plenty of milestones along the way—career opportunities, personal growth, and recovery victories. But ask Allen what matters most, and he'll tell you it's his family.

Over the past year, he's rebuilt his relationship with his son, begun spending weekly time with his twins, and is preparing to welcome another set of twins with his wife this August.

What a beautiful picture of restoration.

Addiction may have shaped part of Allen's story, but it doesn't get the final chapter. Today, he's creating a new legacy for his children—one marked by presence, love, faith, and freedom.

Happy Father's Day to Allen and to all the dads choosing, day by day, to stay the course. The hard work matters. Your children are watching. And we believe our Heavenly Father is smiling as He helps you write a NEW STORY for generations to come. ❤️

It’s hard to start working on deeper issues - like mental health, past trauma and addiction - when you don’t know where you will sleep tonight.

That’s why the new beds that Scott County Regional Authority helped us purchase are so important. They understand stabilization is the first step to working through the tangled knot of beliefs, experiences and choices that lead to a substance use disorder.

A big thanks to SCRA for their provision of new beds, fuel for our vehicles, and food for newly arrived recoverees. Your care and compassion starts someone on the healing journey.

Sometimes a job is much more than a paycheck or stability. Sometimes it’s a calling. And that’s one thing these people all share in common.

Meet the One Eighty Enterprises staff. Each one of them has celebrated victory and freedom over their past. And each one of them feels the calling to use that freedom to help others discover their own.

These folks are highly skilled in their trades and could have many options for employment that…well… would probably pay better and come with benefits. But they stick around and serve in our workforce readiness training program because someone else did it for them.

Someone else listened to their fears and regrets in those early days of sobriety. Someone else taught them how to show up consistently and follow through on the details. Someone else modeled for them a thriving life in recovery so they knew it was possible.

Now they do the same.

We are grateful for the opportunities our. Enterprises team provides our recoverees to finetune their skills, become employable, and set out on the journey to financial independence and freedom.

If you want to be part of that journey by hiring Enterprises for your remodeling, landscaping, concrete, painting or commercial cleaning project - we’d love to show you what people committed to the Lord and a new way of life can do.

When a church calls and says they want to send 20 kids over to WORK all afternoon - you says YES!

And boy did they work!

Huge thanks to the kids from Coram Deo Bible Church for their help deep cleaning the gym, weeding the yard and organizing our men’s basement.

We also enjoyed sharing the stories of hope and redemption that God is writing in the lives of our recoverees. Seth, David and Cassie captured the essence of our work and gave the glory to Jesus.

And any youth visit to our campus MUST end with ringing the bell tower bell! Even these digital natives love the very embodied experience of pulling that rope!

We love connecting with our church partners and helping local youth see themselves as on mission to the community and the world.

Thanks to Coram Deo Outreach for facilitating it all.
