π Congratulations to Chicago Hawks Goalie Director Bob Zalabak and his incredible Goalie Academy team on their partnership with AHAI to establish the AHAI Goaltending Academy!
As Chicago Hawks goalies, you've seen what having access to elite goaltending instruction each week from Garret Sparks, Scott Darling, Alanna Serviss, Anthony Petrak, Charles Collins, and Ross McKay, has done for your game. Not every club or school has access to that level of experience and expertise, making this new statewide initiative an exciting step forward for goaltending development across Illinois.
The AHAI Goaltending Academy aims to expand access to specialized instruction, strengthen development opportunities, and create a more connected pathway for goalies throughout the state. From young players just discovering the position to those competing at the highest levels, the academy will bring together our experienced professionals to develop programs, establish instructional standards, support coaches and clubs, and help goalies reach their full potential.
If you know a goalie that needs these resources, let Bob know and we will get them the help they need to become the best they can be!
Weβre incredibly proud to see the Chicago Hawks Goalie Academy helping lead this important initiative and making a lasting impact on the future of goaltending in Illinois! π₯
