We have an exciting announcement for our community as we continue to serve our neighbors together. We are partnering with Crosspoint Human Services to provide lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning on June 9!! The lunches will be provided between 12:00-12:30pm. Please see the flyer for all the details! 💙🩵💙

Can you tell us how The Dwelling Place helps the homeless in Vermilion County? Of course.

First of all, we a faith based organization that has God in the center of all we do. God has been gracious to The Dwelling Place since the idea for The Dwelling Place was placed on the hearts of the founding board in 2017.

Since 2020, The Dwelling Place Day Center has been consistently providing lunch to our neighbors on Mondays and Fridays from 11am - 12:30pm. We currently serve 80-100 neighbors. We also provide shower facilities, laundry facilities, hygiene products and a comfortable place for our neighbors to relax for the day. The Dwelling Place Day Center is operated entirely by generous volunteers and funded by donations.

The Dwelling Place also offers short term free temporary Housing for families thanks to gracious donors. Our housing requires guests to follow rules geared at respecting the property and staying on track to secure their next home. Our volunteers put many hours in overseeing and managing guests and properties.

The Dwelling Place strives to be a blessing to the homeless through our services. 💕
