Good Afternoon/Evening everyone!

As we're plowing our way through April Vacation! Hoping that everyone is doing well this week. Wanted to pass along the latest round of updates to everyone!

First off, HUUUUUUUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our Arrow of Light scouts for crossing over into the troop!!

Can and Bottle Drive:

Please don't forget that our Spring Can and Bottle drive is fast approaching! Happening on Saturday 5/2 AND Sunday 5/3 at Danvers High School, alongside the town's zero waste day. Community Service is an important aspect to the Scout, and we are still looking for all the help we can get to ensure this drive is successful! Endicott Park Campout:

Sign ups are now complete and closed! Thank you to those that are attending! I do have some slightly unfortunate news on this event: We will be going through with the campout as normal, however after speaking with the Scout Shop in Woburn, we won't have raingutter regatta boats available for this event due to unavailable stock! Most unfortunate, however we will still have activities for the kids to partake in as well as food! Scouting and Camping go hand in hand, the show will go on! Final information to follow Next week!

WooSox Campout happening August 8th:

As mentioned at our Arrow of Light crossover, the Worcester Red Sox are inviting us back to Polar Park to partake in their Scouting Overnight! I have gone the past two times, it's always a treat! This event does cost $35 per person, but includes: Ticket to the game per person, a pre-game parade on the field, a Polar Park patch, the sleepover, and breakfast in the morning! There is also a sunset catch on the field after the game, so lots of fun for everyone to partake in!

Those that are interested: I have a sign up ready, because if we get enough interest (15 or more campers) we can score this deal at a discount (would drop to $30 per person). End of the Year Ceremony:

The next and final Pack meeting of the year happens on Monday June 8th at 6:00 PM. This last meeting awards final rank advancements and awards earned, so don't miss it! We'll have cake to serve at this meeting and can't wait to rank everyone up!

Good evening everyone!

A final message before tomorrow's festivities!!

I have attached a copy of the race schedule as your reminder for each den/grade/age. Kindly arrive at least 30m before your scheduled race time so your cub's car can get inspected, weighed, and put in the racing pits for the races!

A reminder on cars as outlined in the PWD boxes:
- 5.0 oz or less in weight
- Must not exceed 7" in length
- Must not exceed 2.75" in width

If the car fails inspection, you will be allowed to perform modifications to the cars if needed. We'll have some tools available to help with this. Once the car is checked in, have a seat and we'll get the cars going at the designated times!

Once a car is checked in, it is locked and sent to pit row, and no further modifications can be made unless the car is participating in the grand finals.

A few things for tomorrow:
- A small snack shack will be available! Cash/Venmo for items, we'll have an assortment of snacks to grab and enjoy.
- Please, don't forget a sealed/reusable water bottle that is also named. There is a water fountain and refill station in the church.
- Kindly remind your child that especially tomorrow: No Running!! There are a LOT of things set up in the basement currently for race day, and a LOT of wires/technology on the ground around the track.

Any questions, please let me know! I will be on site starting around 745a-800a at the church!

Don’t miss out on this amazing event! Scouts from all over Massachusetts are invited to participate in the 2026 Scouting Report to the Commonwealth. On Thursday, April 23rd, Scouts will meet at Nurse’s Hall at the State House in Boston at 9:30am. Scouts will parade into the Senate Chamber, State-wide statistics will be shared with our state officials, and a group photo will be taken. Tours of the State House afterwards are also available. Good Evening Pack 16!

To preface this email, we will be moving away from the Scoutbook level communication as we have found it to be unreliable. We want to ensure that proper communication remains a top priority in the Pack and will switch to the Gmail format moving forward!

Wanted to place a reminder that our next Pack meeting is this coming Monday, a celebration of Scouting known as our Blue and Gold banquet. Food will be provided for this event as we celebrate the birth of Scouting! Some important notes on this event:
- Although signups have passed (yesterday), if you forgot to do so please reach out to Brian or Graham (or your leader) and we'll figure it all out!
- Scouts plus 1 adult are free. If anyone extra is signed up, the cost is $5 per person. Venmo available to process, or cash in person.
- Pasta, Meatballs, salad, rolls, and cake will be served! We did have an exchange on GF options as well, those should be available.

As always with our Pack meetings we will hand out awards earned over the past (snowy) month!

Dont forget: The Pinewood Derby is coming up soon!! March will be here before you know it. Make sure you make your way down to the Scout Store in Woburn for free cutting, advice, and supplies to purchase!

Some of our Arrowof Lights were able to attend a Scout Troop the other night and had a meet and greet with Pack 16.

The boys had a blast learning knots, making a stretcher (and carrying each other) and how to construct a tent.

The boys are looking forward to the crossover ceremony to start hanging out with these boys for ‘real’, and learning more ‘cool’ stuff.

We hope you had a wonderful and memorable holiday season! Hopefully all you awesome parents got PLENTY of rest and relaxation over the past few weeks! And also: Welcome into 2026!

NEXT PACK MEETING
We’re going strong into the new year with the next Pack 16 Meeting coming up a week from tomorrow (1/12 @ 6pm @ Maple St. Church). This meeting’s event is our yearly Science Fair! Traditionally at this meeting we open this up to any Scout that wants to showcase a science project of any sort after our usual awards and announcements. If you know that your scout would love to showcase something, please reach out to our pack email at [email protected] … We would love to showcase lots of awesome finds and ideas! If you have a science project you would like to share with the pack, let us know!

ECOTARIUM UPDATE:

PINEWOOD DERBY CARS
Cars have been distributed! If you failed to grab a car, or would like to get a car for the siblings races, please let us know! Scouts receive their cars for free. Siblings/extra cars are available for $8 a car.
Don’t forget: Be on the lookout for the Woburn Scout Shop to share info on getting your car cut on site there! Completely free!

SPRING IS COMING TOO!
We want to think about warmer months because that’s when we go back OUTSIDE! I am working with my available resources to secure a great spring date for a campout! Once confirmed, we will let you know the place and date.

FEBRUARY PACK MEETING
Our February Meeting will take place on Mon 2/9 at 6pm for our annual Blue And Gold Banquet, where we reflect on Scouting’s history as well as its Birthday! Plus food!
