January 2019 NHIM closing update.
New Hope International Ministries would like to thank all our partners for the encouragement, prayers and support you provided over the years. Though not physically present with us, you were there as we tended to the sick, advocated for orphaned children, equipped vulnerable women and enabled over 50 children to complete their education.
When our founder Denise Aludo moved back to the U.S. in 2015, the ministry was poised to take the final step towards self-sustainability. We are happy to report that task has now been completed.
Much thanks to Joanna Kelley for providing hands-on support to the local Kenyan leaders of the Kibera Ladies Bible Study (KBS) group and to Joanna and Twyla Brickman for working with the youth of St. Catherine's Orphanage (the Brickmans remain in Kenya and continue to work with youth and plant churches through their ministry SCMIKenya....check it out they are doing great work!).
As a final update, now that New Hope has passed the torch, we wanted to let you know that your support enabled women from KBS to become missionaries to unreached people groups and Bible study leaders in their own churches and homes. Many people have been cared for and given their life to the Lord as a result of their ministry. The youth that we worked with through CML, St. Catherine's Orphanage and New Life Youth Ministry have gone on to finish High School and several completed University, obtaining degrees in Medicine, Teaching, Journalism, Social Work and Business. Best of all, we can testify to the fruit of the Spirit we've witnesses in the lives of those we served. A sincere love for the Lord and characters of compassion, integrity, fairness, hospitality and humbleness.
This will be our last report, but by no means the end of what God is doing through those that you helped us serve.
May God richly bless you for the investment you made in the lives of others in Kenya. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
