The Veterans Memorial Committee held their last meeting for 2025. Committee meetings will resume in March, 2026.
We are truly honored with the engraving of an additional 42 Veterans names at the memorial. Applications are available at the park for inclusion in the next scheduled engraving. Also, there is a list of the 518 Veterans names inscribed on the granite.
Our work is not done, as we strive to keep the Veterans Memorial Park a vital place for remembrance, gratitude, and tribute to those patriots who have served or still serving.
The committee is working on several improvement projects, fund raising ideas, and some community and educational programs. If you have any questions, suggestions, ideas, or would like to join the committee, please contact us through this page or email us at [email protected].🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Applications to have a Veterans name engraved at the Veterans Memorial of Damascus are available. A lasting tribute to all military men and women for their dedication and to honor them for their service. If you are a Veteran or if you have a family member that is a Veteran (having served or still serving), we would be honored to include their names in the next engraving. Please email us at [email protected] for additional information or to have an application sent to you.

"Weather forecast: 70% chance of rain, 100% chance of car enthusiasts showing up anyway." and YES they did!.....83 amazing vehicles rolled in for the 20th annual car show event sponsored by the Veterans Memorial Committee of Damascus. Thank you to all that attended for your support. We were blessed that the stormy weather came after the conclusion of the car show. We hope everyone had a safe and uneventful journey home. Until next time....

They looked menacing. They came in loud….open pipes, oversized tires, some frames chopped low, but all with the unleashed creativity of original paint jobs with the acceptable test of time rust, dents, and blemishes,

They are one-of-a-kind and they got everyone’s attention...the Rat Rods arrived. The Veterans Memorial Committee was honored to host the 2025 Rat Rod Tour sponsored by the Rat Rod Magazine. Stopping at the Peavine Station in Damascus for community fun, fellowship, and food and becoming part of the Rat Rodder family. What an amazing group of folks!

If you missed it, you missed being captivated, not only by the fascinating stories from the Rodders themselves, but by the fusion of unique designs and styles of discarded parts and rusty exteriors. Rat Rods are truly a rolling work of art.
