Canadian Maritimes Part 2 of 2

Great tour of the Canadian Provinces - Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Over 11 days the bus consumed $2200+ in fuel, covering 1400-1500 miles. We had nice weather except one afternoon, and our departure day. All had a fantastic time after such a rough start getting here. Part 1 of 2 due to too many pictures!

11 AM — Depart from Weis Market
Murdough’s Christmas Barn — Browse a century-old barn filled with ornaments, nutcrackers, figurines, villages, Santas, angels, nativity scenes, lights, trees, wreaths, stockings, cards, candles, cookie cutters, and more.
Dinner — Blue Marsh Italian Restaurant, featuring Gino’s Famous Buffet
6 PM — Visit Koziar’s Christmas Village
11 PM — Arrive in Damascus

Bringing Christmas Cheer Since 1948
Enjoy a festive holiday outing with lights, shopping, dinner, and fellowship! William M. Koziar began decorating his home and property in 1948 for his family’s enjoyment. As more visitors came to admire the display, it became known as “The Christmas House.” Now celebrating more than 75 years, Koziar’s Christmas Village has received numerous honors, including recognition as Best Outdoor Christmas Display in the World by Display World.

Package Includes:
Transportation, stop at Murdough’s Christmas Barn, Admission to Koziar Christmas Village, Dinner at Blue Marsh Italian Restaurant, Tip for driver.
Price of package with 30 paid reservations: $196 pp – Payment due October 6, 2026. Non-Members are welcome to join this trip.

Join the Damascus Travel Club for a relaxed fall day trip featuring historic sites, beautiful gardens, and a family-style dinner.

Morning Stop: Carroll County Farm Museum

Explore a preserved 19th-century farmstead with barns, blacksmith shops, walking paths, and farm animals.

Lunch Stop

Lunch will be on your own during the trip to Ladew.

Afternoon Highlight: Ladew Topiary Gardens

Tour Ladew’s famous topiary gardens, featuring more than 100 living sculptures, themed garden rooms, and the historic Manor House.

Manor House Tour

Visit the 1749 Manor House, known for its antiques, library, hidden door, and distinctive architectural details.

Dinner: Friendly Farm Restaurant

Enjoy a family-style dinner at Friendly Farm Restaurant, including fried chicken, roast beef, apple butter, and warm sugar biscuits.

A sneak peek at the Maritime tour in Canada- more posted at end of the tour. It was a bear getting here, but at least the tour is off to a good start!

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday at 12 noon at the Damascus American Legion . I could use two volunteers to help cut and serve our 60th Anniversary cakes at Saturday’s picnic luncheon. 🍰 If you’re willing to help for a few minutes, please let me know. Thank you! Just a reminder for our 60th Anniversary Picnic! 🎉 Saturday, August 1, 2026. 12:00 noon.

DTC will be providing the fried chicken and two Costco anniversary cakes, so there’s no need to bring dessert unless you have a special homemade favorite you’d really like to share.

If you’re able, please consider bringing a salad or side dish to help round out the meal. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!
