😬 Fishing gear, construction materials and tools, tires, a puzzle piece, or a hubcap—volunteers consistently bring back a wide range of "odd" items along our coastlines.
While these objects are ordinary everyday tools in our homes and routines, their presence in OUR coastal ecosystems is anything but normal. 🚫
The most perplexing part of cleanup work isn't the items we find, but the mindset that leaving them behind, or neglectful behavior, is acceptable!
That's the ODD part about it all!
👉 Every item here (and much, much more!) was prevented from breaking down into harmful micro-debris or posing a physical hazard to local wildlife thanks to our awesome volunteers, especially all our YOUTH in these pics! 👏👏👏
Remember: true coastal stewardship starts with personal accountability: pack it in, pack it out! 🫶
