*** Apple Trees ***

This years SLSC tree program will consist entirely of Apple Trees. We obtained native crab apples trees, as well as a few human edible apple trees, all of which will be given away TOMORROW NIGHT at the Dalton community park starting at 5:30.

This will be a first come first serve process with each family able to pick 1 tree.

Note: the crab apple trees are bred for wildlife, provide fruit most of the fall and will grow to 30ft in height. These trees are ideal for wildlife, but not great for residential yards.

Those that arrive early will be asked to form a line as no trees will be given away before 5:30. When they are gone, they are gone.

This event is FREE, although a donation basket will be available. Hope to see everyone tomorrow evening.

The Stalker Lake Sportsmen's Club has partnered with JK-Outdoors to provide the prizes for this year's banquet. Consistent with prior years, all banquet prizes will be at the banquet and available for your review. However, in order to take possession of a prize, the paperwork will need to be completed at JK-Outdoors in Fergus Falls where you can pick up your prize(s) or trade for another item.

We want to thank Dalton Outdoors for their many years of previously supplying prizes to the Stalker Lake Sportsmen's Club.

Corn for Wildlife

The Stalker Lake Sportsmen have partnered with CHS - Undrerwood to provide corn for wildlife. The corn is located at the Tumuli township garage on the west side of Dalton (next to recycling bins).

Please keep each load to a max of 2 5-gallon buckets each trip so everyone can participate.

The wagon was filled again yesterday 1/26.

Thank you to CHS Underwood, Tumuli township and Bob Thormodson for use of the wagon.

Note. Picture is of Pheasants feeding in a field East of Dalton last week.
