Friends of Wylie Fire Rescue - FOWFR

Friends of Wylie Fire Rescue - FOWFR FOWFR (Friends of Wylie Fire Rescue) is a 501C3 organization established to support Wylie Fire Rescue.

We assisted in funding the Honor Guard and the annual NFFF Memorial Weekend representation and is working towards providing WFR pipes and drums. We are also working towards setting up philanthropic opportunities such as scholarships, community service activities, line of duty injury assistance, etc.

A special shoutout to Cates Control Systems, Inc. - CCS for their very generous gift of a Traeger smoker for our crews at station 1!! Constructed by our board member Troy, this shiny machine is fit with the greatest technology so crews can control temp and time even when they have to leave the firehouse! Just another way members of our community support the men and women of Wylie Fire Rescue - they even brought donated seasonings from Meat Church, grilling tools and a box of Whataburger doubles for the crew too!!
