Masheli Sargent serves as Mentor for Wood Badge 149 and brings extensive experience as a Scoutmaster, district leader, and Wood Badge staff member. A Wood Badge participant in 2015, Masheli is passionate about helping leaders develop the confidence and skills needed to serve effectively. Originally from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, she enjoys meeting new people, building friendships, and sharing her love of Scouting. Masheli encourages participants to be fully present, embrace new experiences, and understand that we can always better ourselves so that we can lead and teach others. She fondly remembers summer camp adventures and the lasting connections formed through Scouting, experiences that continue to inspire her commitment to leadership and service.

Kimmy V. Wright serves as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge 149 and is an active Scouter with Circle Ten Council. A Wood Badge participant in 2023, Kimmy believes every Scout deserves a trained and supported leader who can help them reach their full potential. Based in Dallas, Texas, she is passionate about learning, teaching, and helping others grow through the Scouting program. Kimmy encourages participants to lean into all the activities and training opportunities Wood Badge offers, knowing that the lessons learned can have a lasting impact. She values the friendships and leadership skills gained through Scouting and considers service to youth one of the most rewarding aspects of her volunteer journey.

Renee Hediger serves as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge 149 and brings a wealth of experience from her roles as an Assistant Scoutmaster and former Assistant Quartermaster on Wood Badge staff. A Wood Badge participant in 2018, Renee is excited about experience Philmont alongside other amazing volunteers. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she enjoys the opportunity to meet new people, share experiences, and foster meaningful connections throughout the course. Renee believes effective communication is one of the most important leadership skills a participant can gain and encourages everyone to embrace the experience with an open mind and positive attitude. Among her favorite Scouting memories are adventures at Sea Base in St. Thomas, experiences that reinforced the value of teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.

Brandon Luckett serves as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge 149 and brings strong leadership experience from both Troop Leadership and Lone Star District involvement. Since attending Wood Badge in 2019, Brandon has been passionate about helping others unlock their leadership potential and discover new ways to serve. Originally from Grand Prairie, Texas, he believes Wood Badge is an exciting journey that provides the keys to create transformational experiences for the youth we serve. Brandon values service, leadership, and creating meaningful experiences that inspire others to stay engaged in Scouting. His fondest memories are staffing Powderhorn, and eventually serving as course director.

April Tate serves as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge 149 and is actively involved with troop leadership, district support, and the summer camp Aquatics program. Since attending Wood Badge in 2020, she has embraced the opportunity to help create a safe and welcoming environment for participants to learn and grow. From Houston, Texas, April encourages participants to enjoy the journey and make meaningful connections along the way. She treasures memories of camporees and summer adventures to Sea Base and Northern Tier, and believes Wood Badge strengthens leadership skills that carry into every area of life.

From Rockwall, Texas, he enjoys meeting new people and mentoring participants throughout the Wood Badge experience. Jason advises participants to reinforce what they learn during the course and apply those lessons in everyday life. Daisy Brockman serves as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge 149 and is passionate about making a difference in the Scouting community. A Wood Badge participant in 2019, Daisy brings energy, positivity, and dedication to the course. Based in Frisco, Texas, she enjoys sharing her passion for Scouting and believes criticism can be a valuable tool for growth and improvement. Some of her favorite memories are staffing summer camp, multiple Philmont and Sea Base treks, and serving four years as SM of a girls’ troop. She values the friendships and leadership lessons gained through Wood Badge.

Kellie Twiss serves as Assistant Quartermaster for Wood Badge 149 and is active in Venturing leadership, as well as Duck Creek District, and the council COPE program. A Wood Badge participant in 2020, Kellie believes the program is more impactful in helping leaders discover their strengths than similar corporate trainings. And Wood Badge is way more fun! Originally from Melbourne, Florida, she enjoys helping others learn and grow through shared experiences. Kellie advises participants to not get overwhelmed, and take some time to take in the lessons learned.

Desi Tanguma serves as a Troop Guide for Wood Badge 149. She is an active Scoutmaster and Committee Chair, dedicated to helping Scouts and leaders grow. A 2022 Wood Badge participant, Desi has previously served on Wood Badge staff as an Assistant Quartermaster. From Forney, Texas, she is a mother of three boys, a wife, and a Director of Revenue outside of Scouting. She is passionate about watching others succeed and believes Wood Badge helps develop strong leadership skills and personal growth. She is excited to watch others flourish and reach their own personal goals.

John Davis serves as Assistant Quartermaster for Wood Badge 149, and is a current Chartered Organization Representative. A dedicated Scouter originally from Spotsylvania, Virginia, John attended Wood Badge in 2017 with Circle Ten Council and continues to support leadership development through service and mentorship. He encourages participants to connect with others, stay engaged, and make the most of every opportunity the course offers. John believes Wood Badge helps leaders better understand themselves and those around them, creating skills that extend far beyond Scouting. One of his proudest memories is completing the Grand Slam of High Adventure with his son and daughter, reflecting his passion for adventure and servant leadership.
