Equality is not that we become alike,
but that no human is measured as less because he is different.
Justice does not melt faces into one, it protects them all.

A Freemason cannot walk with the herd.
He carves his own path, and ascends toward boundless
ambition,
illuminated by the light of his conscience, not by the lights of
others.

The Masonic lodge is not a building you enter.
It is the moment when two free minds meet with respect,
even if an ocean lies between them.
And wherever respect for difference exists... there, true
building exists.

Every goal without peace is a beautiful illusion, and every peace without a goal is the essence itself.

Thomas Harper Lodge No. 9612

What a fun and exciting 90th Lodge Meeting we had at Freemasons’ Hall, in the “Prince of Wales” Temple, filled with rituals unique to the Lodge and the ancient Thomas Harper workings.

We were treated to what proved to be a most interesting talk from our Worshipful Master on the subject of “Masonic Foot Soldiers.” He took us through the travelling warrants of the militant and the important role they played in the development and spread of Freemasonry, drawing on more than 40 years of his own experience and research.

We were also joined by Emma, the Museum Curator, who very kindly exhibited and discussed some particularly rare and special pieces from the Masonic Museum’s extensive collection. This provided us with a fascinating opportunity to see and hear about items that we would not ordinarily have the chance to examine so closely.

Following this, we enjoyed dinner in the Museum, making for a truly memorable evening surrounded by so much Masonic history.

To round off the proceedings, we had a short introduction to the Shriners, presented by prominent members of the organisation who had travelled from the USA especially for this meeting. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the organisation and its traditions. And also shown a number of artefacts from the Apollo moon landings

A fantastic evening of ritual, history, fellowship and learning — a fitting way to celebrate our 90th Lodge Meeting.

Here’s to our next happy meeting next march...if you are interested in attending drop me a dm
