Today’s Supreme Court decision in Louisiana vs. Callais is a direct attack on Black voters and marks a shameful moment in our democracy. This ruling opens the door to racial gerrymandering that will take us back to Jim Crow. This ruling is a betrayal of Black voters and the promise of democracy. We will not stay silent.

Black maternal health is a matter of life and death.
Black women are still 3–4x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes — and policy plays a role in that.
That’s why TXLBC members fight for real solutions:
• 12-month postpartum Medicaid coverage
• Access to maternal & mental healthcare
• Community-based care like doulas & midwives
• Accountability in maternal health outcomes
Because protecting Black mothers takes more than awareness — it takes action.
🖤 Healthy mothers. Healthy families. Healthy communities.

✨Today, Collin County NAACP, join the nation and the global freedom movement in mourning Rev. Jesse Jackson, a giant in the fight for justice, dignity, and full citizenship for Black people and all oppressed communities.

His courage, sacrifice, and unwavering belief that our voices and votes matter opened doors many of us now walk through every day. Here in Collin County, we continue that work through civic engagement, leadership, and the pursuit of equity in every zip code.

We honor his life with action. The struggle continues and so does the legacy. 🕊️🙏🏾✊🏾
