Across the country, GreenLight sites continue to drive local impact through proven, community-centered solutions. GreenLight Fund Bay Area recently launched its 8th portfolio organization—bringing Urban Peace Institute to Oakland to establish a new Peace Academy. In partnership with community-based organizations and the city’s Department of Violence Prevention , the academy will provide standardized, trauma-informed training to strengthen Oakland’s frontline violence-intervention workforce.

This milestone was featured by The Oaklandside —and we’re proud to be part of a national network advancing community-led solutions with measurable results. 💚

GreenLight sites across our national network continue to drive local impact through proven, community-centered solutions: GreenLight Fund Greater Newark recently invested $1.2 million to strengthen housing and food security by bringing two proven, tech-powered nonprofits to the region:
Housing Connector - helping residents secure stable housing through partnerships with property owners.
Food Connect - expanding access to affordable, healthy meals and strengthening local food distribution networks
Together, these investments are advancing both stability and opportunity for Newark families.

Exciting news! GreenLight Fund announced a record-breaking $30M Third National Fund for Exponential Impact, backed by 40+ national philanthropic investors. This fund will help strengthen GreenLight’s work across the network, accelerate impact on urban poverty, and support expansion to at least one new city each year. Our team was grateful to attend the Dallas Housing Summit. We’re committed to learning all we can about the challenges facing economic mobility in Dallas, and this summit offered invaluable insight. We walked away with a deeper understanding of the barriers and the tremendous opportunities to expand access to quality, affordable housing across our city.

Thank you to the Dallas Housing Coalition team and to all the leaders working every day to ensure Dallas is a place where every family can thrive.

GreenLight Fund’s 2024–25 Impact Report marks 20 years of measurable, meaningful change — and GreenLight Dallas is honored to be the newest chapter in that story.

For two decades, GreenLight has partnered with communities nationwide to identify local needs, invest in proven nonprofit solutions, and expand opportunities for children and families.

As the 15th GreenLight site, Dallas is just getting started. We’re currently in the Discovery phase — listening to community voices, reviewing local data, and building the foundation for our first GreenLight investment in 2026.

We’re thrilled to be growing alongside this community and look forward to sharing more about our first investment in 2026.
