Starting in September, our friends Council for Healthy Food Systems and Mesquite Field Farm are offering a 12-week hybrid farmer training program in Central Texas. You wont want to miss this opportunity!

Let's talk about Groundwork.
Groundwork is CHFS's 12-week hybrid program designed for beginning and expanding producers. It's where farmers come to learn practical skills, connect with experienced mentors, and build a stronger foundation for their operation.
Because farming doesn't come with an instruction manual — and nobody should have to figure it all out alone.
Our next cohort kicks off this fall in Central Texas. If you're ready to grow your skills and connect with a community of fellow farmers, we'd love to have you!
Join the waiting list and be the first to know when registration opens: https://healthyfoodsystems.org/groundwork-farmer-training-program/

Thank you, for the love you pour into this sacred day of remembrance honoring the brave men and women who gave everything for this country and the freedoms we hold dear. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we carry their names, their courage, and their legacy forward in the way we live- worthy of their sacrifices. 🇺🇸

This weekend, while traveling through South Texas visiting veteran-owned ranches, we stopped at the Carry The Load Memorial May event in San Antonio. 🇺🇸

What made this moment special was having veteran farmers and ranchers there with us. Most rarely get the chance to leave their land- the farm work never stops. But they made the sacrifice to step away and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

That’s why Carry The Load matters. It brings people together to remember, reflect, and ensure the meaning of Memorial Day is never forgotten.

We invite you to support our team by donating or joining our team to help us continue showing up for veterans and their communities:

And if you’re in Texas, come walk with us at the Dallas Memorial March on May 24th & 25th.
