We came for the music. We’re staying for the plot.

Scarborough’s Hollow opens TOMORROW , with live music and living theater that gives the whole family a part in the day.

For those of us who can turn a quick stop to hear a musician into the entire afternoon, this feels like a very reasonable plan.

Bring your favorite company to Waxahachie and use code WRR for $5 off adult tickets. A little help from your Friends.

Tickets: tickets.srfestival.com/hollow
Code expires November 1.

Dallas packed a violin case and went to Europe. ✈️🎻

GDYO took the talent international this summer, with performances in Bratislava and Vienna and enough tour memories to fill an entire camera roll.

These musicians are still in school. Casual.

Leave the lute at home. Bring the family.

Our kind of fall outing starts with live music. Add a little living theater, a few unexpected characters and room for the kids’ imaginations to run around, and you’ve got our attention.

Scarborough’s Hollow opens September 26 in Waxahachie, and Friends of WRR has a little something to help you make a day of it: use code WRR for $5 off adult tickets.

Send this to your favorite accompaniment.

Code expires November 1.

We get to brag on one of our own today.

Jess Garland has a new album out, and if you know Jess, you know how much this means. She has served on the Friends of WRR board, she founded Swan Strings, and she is constantly showing up for artists, students and the North Texas community. Honestly, we have never met anyone more passionate about making room for people through music.

GLOW, Jess’s debut album, came out August 28. It brings her harp and voice together, and album sales support the free music education, community concerts and sound therapy Swan Strings provides across North Texas.

We love having Jess in the Friends of WRR family, and we are so happy to celebrate this with her.
