Women’s History Month Spotlight | Monique S. Biggs

As Assistant Director of Media, Public, and Community Relations at The Hartford Insurance Group, Monique strengthens brand reputation and drives community engagement through storytelling, partnerships, and inclusive programs.

A devoted mentor and advocate, Monique is dedicated to mentoring and fundraising for Grace Academy and champions women and girls through her work. She also serves on the boards of NAAIA Greater Hartford, the Artist Collective, and Wilson-Gray YMCA, and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is intentional about “keeping the ladder down” for those who come behind her—broadening access and opportunity for the next generation of leaders.

Monique’s leadership has been recognized with several honors, including The Hartford’s Chairman’s Award, HBJ 40 Under 40, 100 Women of Color, and the Pomfret School Alumna of Distinction Award. Through her board service, community involvement, and active role in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she continues to inspire, mentor, and create lasting impact.
