As we count down to our Annual Fundraiser, we’re continuing to shine a spotlight on the incredible performers who will be joining us for Broadway Through the Decades!

Today, we’re highlighting Ashley Tysor!

Ashley is one of those performers who brings such a wonderful energy wherever she goes, and we’re so excited to have her joining us for this special evening. We’re also thrilled to welcome Ashley into the SCP family in an even bigger way as the choreographer for our upcoming production of Bare: A Pop Opera, performing this January!

We’re so grateful to have Ashley sharing her talent with us, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the stage!

As we count down the days to our Annual Fundraiser TOMORROW, we’re continuing to shine a spotlight on the talented people who will be joining us for Broadway Through the Decades!

Today, we’re highlighting Ben Barker!

Ben is a talented pianist, music director, and educator in the DFW music and theatre community. A Waxahachie native and jazz piano student at UNT, Ben has brought his musical talents to numerous North Texas productions and has become a wonderful part of the Second Chance Players family.

Ben previously served as Music Director for our 2024 production of Next to Normal, and we’re incredibly excited to have him back behind the keys for our upcoming production of Bare: A Pop Opera, coming this January!

But before we get to Bare, you can catch Ben performing with us at Broadway Through the Decades!

Join us Saturday, September 19 at Central Commons for an evening celebrating Broadway through the years, featuring an incredible lineup of DFW performers.

As we continue counting down to our Annual Fundraiser, we’re shining a spotlight on the talented performers who will be joining us for Broadway Through the Decades!

Today, we’re highlighting Efren Paredes!

Efren is a DFW-based actor, musician, composer, playwright, and director who has been a wonderful part of the Second Chance Players family. Many of you may remember him from our 2024 production of Next to Normal, but Efren’s talents extend well beyond performing. He has also composed original music for two of Second Chance Players’ past productions, bringing his musical talents into the creative process behind the scenes as well.

We’re so excited to have Efren back with us and can’t wait to see what he brings to Broadway Through the Decades!

Hunter recently joined Second Chance Players for our production of Prodigal Son, where he brought Alan Hoffman to life. We’re thrilled to have Hunter back with us and can’t wait to see what he brings to the stage for our fundraiser!

As we continue counting down to our Annual Fundraiser, we’re shining a spotlight on the talented performers joining us for Broadway Through the Decades!

Today we are shining a spotlight on Shae Hardwick!

Shae is a DFW-based performer who has been on stage since the age of six, bringing energy, personality, and heart to every role he takes on. DFW audiences may recognize him from productions with Millennial Poison Theatre, Poor Yorick Productions, and many other local companies.

Shae is also a familiar face to Second Chance Players. He was part of our 2025 production of The Laramie Project, and we’re so excited to welcome him back to the stage with us for Broadway Through the Decades!

Today, we’re highlighting Tara Bryant!

Tara has been singing since she could talk and performing since she was five. A proud AMDA alumna, she returned to theatre in 2022 after a decade away raising her family—and she’s been making up for lost time ever since! When she’s not performing, Tara co-hosts Community Theater Talk on KNONNOW.org, celebrating the DFW theatre community she loves. We’re so excited to have Tara joining us!

Sam has been singing and playing music professionally for well over 20 years and is the “Le Grande Fromage” of LoneStar Sound. Over the years, he’s also found his way onto the stage, with experience in both musicals and straight plays.

We’re so excited to have Sam joining us for our Annual Fundraiser and can’t wait for you to see what he brings to the stage!
