🐶 Pet Safety Reminder for WaterView Residents

WaterView is a pet-friendly community, and we love seeing your furry companions out and about! 🐾 With that said, we want to remind everyone of a few important safety guidelines.

The City of Rowlett has established ordinances to help protect both people and pets.

The City does have a leash law, which means all dogs must be properly restrained and under owner control when outside of the home or a secured yard.

⚠️ Aggressive behavior is taken seriously.
If a dog threatens or attacks a person or another animal, a Vicious Animal Complaint may be filed with Animal Services. After investigation, legal action may be taken if warranted.

📋 To file a complaint, you’ll need:
• Your contact information
• Address of the incident
• Description of the animal
• Date, time & details

⚖️ Dogs deemed dangerous must also follow strict requirements, including being muzzled, properly restrained, and under direct owner control at all times.

🚧 Road Work is Coming… But So Are Smoother Roads! 🚧

We know—no one loves hearing about road work… but we think you’re going to love the results!

The City of Rowlett Public Works team will soon begin improvements on Waterview Pkwy (between Liberty Grove Rd. and St. Andrews Ln.), focusing on creating smoother and safer roads for our community.

👍 Good news: Crews will keep both lanes open during construction by working on one half of the road at a time—helping minimize traffic disruptions.

🛠️ Timeline: Approximately 10–12 weeks (weather permitting)

We appreciate your patience while these improvements are underway—better roads are on the way!

📬 Mailbox Maintenance Reminder 📬

Hi Neighbors!

We’d like to send out a friendly reminder regarding mailbox maintenance within the community. Over time, mailboxes can begin to lean, fade, rust, or show general wear and tear due to weather and age.

Please take a moment to check your mailbox to ensure it is:
✔️ Standing upright and secure
✔️ Free of rust or damage
✔️ Clean and in good condition
✔️ Painted and maintained according to community standards

We recommend using Rust-Oleum Satin Black paint for both the mailbox and post to ensure consistency throughout the community.

If your mailbox is missing numbers, they must be replaced with 2-inch brass numbers, which can only be ordered through Imperial Mailboxes. Please note that sticker numbers are not allowed as a replacement for missing numbers.

Beginning this spring, the Association will start conducting inspections and issuing letters for mailboxes that do not meet community standards. If you would like to avoid receiving a notice, please begin addressing any needed maintenance now.

📅 January 31st, is the final day to pay your assessments before they are considered delinquent. Payments must be received and posted by January 31st. Late fees will be applied starting February 1, 2026.
