Announcing the 2026 Bill Smith III Memorial Scholarship Recipients
The Bill Smith III Memorial Scholarship Committee is proud to announce the 2026 Bill Smith III Memorial Scholarship recipients.
In the inaugural year of the scholarship program, more than $11,000 was awarded to six outstanding local high school seniors who exemplify dedication both on the field and in the classroom. Each recipient participated in two sports while maintaining a minimum 2.5 GPA, reflecting the values of hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and commitment that Bill Smith III embodied.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each of these remarkable student-athletes. We are honored to play a small role in supporting their futures and can’t wait to see all they accomplish.
This scholarship program would not exist without the incredible generosity of our community. Every sponsorship, donation, raffle ticket purchased, and event attended has helped make these scholarships a reality. The overwhelming support we’ve received demonstrates just how much our community believes in investing in the next generation of student-athletes.
As we celebrate our first class of recipients, we also celebrate everyone who contributed to making this possible. Your generosity is changing lives. Because of you, we were able to award more than $11,000 in scholarships in our very first year, and with your continued support, we hope to expand our impact and provide even more opportunities for deserving students in the years to come.
