Love Thy Neighbor, Inc. - Texas

A North Texas non-profit, committed to providing nutrition and clothing to those in need. Love Thy Neighbor is a North Texas non-profit, with no paid staff.

Virtually all donations go to support our programs. We have been fortunate enough to receive a few grants to assist us in delivering our programs, but we rely on our donors. Over 95% of donations go directly to assisting those in need, the remainder is for insurance, office supplies, and fundraising. Working with our partner organizations, we provide:
- food and clothing to families in need in the Lewisville area
- blankets and clothing to babies born into health or economic crisis in the DFW area
- pet beds for various animal shelters and rescue groups

Love Thy Neighbor served the homeless and the working poor through the Lewisville Salvation Army location from November 2010 through December 2021. We have now partnered with Heart of the City and New Beginnings Church in Lewisville to help those in need at various locations in North Dallas. Our Love Thy Baby program provides clothing to babies born into financial and/or physical need in the DFW area.

Love Thy Baby has the most talented, dedicated, and generous volunteers in the DFW area! 🌟
Right now, we have roughly 100 active volunteers pouring their hearts into helping babies born into need. Using donated fabric and yarn, these amazing individuals handcraft:
👶 Beautiful blankets
👕 Tiny baby clothing & hats
🍼 Sweet bibs
🐾 Plus cozy pet beds!
We are endlessly grateful for their time and skill. They truly weave love into everything they touch.

We’re especially grateful that so many of our donors are also volunteers, and that every member of our Board of Directors has donated. We believe deeply in this mission and in the difference we can make together.

Love Thy Neighbor appreciates your support in the past and needs it again this year!

North Texas Giving Day 2026 is just four days away on Thursday, September 17th. Early giving started August 27th.

We need to raise $25,000 to support the vital programs of Love Thy Neighbor — and the first $10,000 in donations will be matched by generous supporters!

Why is North Texas Giving Day so important to us? Because our programs depend on your support to continue helping families in need — and this is our biggest fundraiser each year!

Your donations directly support:
👚 Providing clothing to families in need
🍼 Supplying blankets and clothing to newborns born into hardship
🥫 Supporting local food pantries and kitchens
👉 You can donate through the North Texas Giving Day website https://mtyc.co/87v66f or give directly to us and note it’s for NTX Giving Day. www.ltnlovethyneighbor.org/home/donate/

👚 Clothing Assistance Program volunteers sort donated clothing twice a week.

🍼 Love Thy Baby volunteers sort donated fabric used to make baby blankets, while financial donations help purchase baby clothing for newborns born into hardship.

🥫 Our Food Program provides non-perishable food to local pantries and kitchens.
