First move of my modified version of the Suscovich chicken tractor. Still needs a little tweaking but the on demand wheel system is working well.

All the suburban development in this area makes for a landscape that was once able to handle the rains incapable of doing so. Water infiltrates soil and riparian areas naturally. When vegetative systems are bulldozed for houses and lawns this happens. A completely preventable flood with better designed water and soil catchment systems is possible with permaculture.
