Same mission. Bigger impact. 🔥

Fork and Femme has always been about one simple action: spend with women-owned businesses.

But we're not just spending. We're tracking it. We're measuring it. And we're watching it grow. Since 2023, we have spent over $360,000 directly with woman-owned businesses. And we're just getting started!

Every coffee. Every event. Every dinner. Every invoice. Every purchase puts more money into women-owned businesses and more money moving through our cities and communities.

We don't have to wait for someone else to decide where investment goes. We make those decisions every day with our dollars.

WE ARE THE BANK. We have the power to move money and change things.

Every purchase counts.

Fork and Femme returns October 21.

Here’s how to join the movement:

Yesterday was Labor Day. Today, a reminder of what women are building.

Women own 15.7 million businesses across the country, employing 12.6 million people and generating $2.8 trillion in revenue.

Those are big numbers. But there is still so much more opportunity ahead.

Women own more than 40% of businesses in this country, yet our businesses account for less than 5% of total business revenue.

So yes, we need more women starting businesses. But we also need more women growing them. Getting the contracts. Accessing capital. Hiring. Expanding. Building businesses that create real wealth.

Women are already building. Now it’s time to build bigger. 💯

“Done is better than perfect.” — Sheryl Sandberg

On a day dedicated to labor, here’s a reminder: your work doesn’t have to be perfect to matter.

Sometimes we spend so much time trying to get every detail right that the thing we’re building never gets the chance to exist.

The proposal can be sent before you’ve rewritten it for the tenth time. The idea can be tested before you know exactly where it will lead. The first version can simply be the first version.

Progress requires us to finish things, learn from them and keep moving.

So as we head into a new week, give yourself permission to trade perfection for progress. ⭐

Can they find you? 👀

Fork and Femme is back this October and we're doing something we've never done before.

We're launching The Official Fork and Femme Guide—a statewide guide designed to help you discover woman-owned businesses and plan where you'll spend on Fork and Femme Day, October 21.

Fork and Femme is our biannual statewide celebration created to increase spending with woman-owned businesses and this fall we're working toward our biggest goal yet: $250,000 spent with woman-owned businesses across Texas.

🩷 If you own a business, we'd love to include you.

Whether you own a restaurant, boutique, salon, agency, online shop, product-based business or offer a service, this guide is for you.

Every purchase made with a listed business counts toward our goal of spending $250,000 with woman-owned businesses during this fall's movement.

✨ The first 100 business receive a complimentary listing. Sign up: https://tally.so/r/5Bopbv

The guide publishes Friday, October 2, giving everyone plenty of time to discover new businesses, plan their purchases and build their Fork and Femme game plan before October 21.

🗓 Submission deadline: Friday, September 18 at 5:00 PM CST.

Know an incredible woman-owned business?

“You need to open both eyes and see the whole world in order to solve almost any problem.”

Gloria Steinem was a writer, political journalist and social activist who became a globally recognized icon and leader of the second-wave feminist movement in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Gloria believed that everyone should be a feminist and she famously defined a feminist as “anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men.”

Her passing today leaves an extraordinary, foundational legacy that will continue to shape generations to come.

YOUR NEXT FAVORITE BRAND MIGHT BE WOMAN-OWNED.

And this October, we want to help you find her. 🎉

Fork and Femme is built around a pretty simple idea: one of the most powerful ways we can support woman-owned businesses is to spend money with them.

Where we choose to shop, eat, book, buy and hire matters. When we spend with a woman-owned business, that money doesn't just stop there. It keeps moving. It can help her hire someone, work with another small business, open another location, invest back into her community or simply keep building.

That's why where we spend matters.

On October 21, we're doing exactly that and going after our biggest goal yet: $250,000 spent with HER.

So, how can you make an impact?

1. Sign up for Fork and Femme. It's FREE: https://lnkd.in/gREEPfKk

You'll get everything you need to participate, including instructions for tracking your spending on October 21 and join a community of people across Texas who love showing up for woman-owned businesses with their dollars.

2. Own a woman-owned business? Add it to the Official Fork and Femme Guide:
https://tally.so/r/5Bopbv

The Guide drops Friday, October 2 and will help our community discover where they can shop, eat, book, buy and hire ahead of Fork and Femme Day.

3. Host an event in your community and shine a light on a local business - https://tally.so/r/jaXQ84

4. Start building your October 21 spend plan.
Think about the things you're already going to spend money on that day and where you could intentionally choose a woman-owned business instead.

⭐ A BRAND TO WATCH: Blume Bakery is a woman-owned bakery creating dairy-free, egg-free treats made with quality organic ingredients. Founder Jennifer Robertson launched Blume in 2024, inspired by her love of baking and in honor of her late mother, Ruby, who first inspired her in the kitchen.

It all started with Blume’s Signature Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie and a simple belief: you shouldn’t have to compromise on indulgence just because you’re dairy-free.
