This moment right here is why we do the work.
All-Star Weekend wasn’t just about the lights, the stage, or the final pitches it was about watching young leaders step into confidence they didn’t even know they had yet.
From the first day to the final presentation, we witnessed growth that can’t be measured by trophies alone. We saw ideas become real, teammates become family, and students discover what leadership looks like when preparation meets opportunity.
Congratulations to our winning team, The Highlighters, for showing what vision, discipline, and collaboration can create when young voices are given the room to be heard.
Our CEO, Erica Molett, opened this journey reminding everyone in the room judges, partners, and supporters that this is bigger than one weekend. This is about exposure, access, and helping students see themselves in spaces they’re meant to lead.
What you’ll see in this video is more than a competition. It’s teamwork in motion, moments of mentorship, the power of the Junior NBA drills, and the energy that happens when young people are challenged to rise together.
A special thank you to our incredible sponsors, judges, and partners Comcast NBCUniversal, the NBA Foundation, The Knowledge House, Hidden Genius Project, Boyle Heights Technology YouthSource Center, and Marlborough School for investing in this vision and helping us create life-changing opportunities for these students. Your support made this experience possible and meaningful beyond the court.
Because of you, these students walked away with more than memories… they walked away with momentum.
And we’re just getting started.
