From South Sudan to USA

To: brothers and sisters, elders, youngest women, men and children, those who love Christ Jesus as their Saviour. May the grace, love and peace of God and our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ, I am very grateful to thank God the Father and Jesus, our Lord for what he has done to us through you. You have been sent to us missionaries to teach us the word of God. This showing us the love of Christ is in you. We could not forget you: 1 John 3:1-3.

So I don’t say much to you, but the one thing I want to say is to keeping your praying to us until he comes. Hoping that we will meet one day in heaven all together with him.

2023 saw the ribbon cutting of the Achiek Clinic in February, opening the first ever access to skilled medical care in a region serving a population of approximately 40,000 people. Prior to this, the nearest medical facility with skilled staff was located approximately 100 miles away in the neighboring city of Wau. While 100 miles seems close to westerners, lack of auto transport and viable roadways means this distance would need to be covered on foot! The prior lack of access to skilled care in this region was truly felt by all. Treatable sicknesses and diseases had resulted in much unnecessary suffering and premature death. Pregnant mothers and small children were especially vulnerable in the absence of care and often paid the highest price when a medical matter arose. We thank our donors who invested in the education of our young local doctor Angelo Deng and also in the launch of our facility. We celebrate with the community of Lietnhom that the Achiek Clinic saw 2,291 patients in its first year. Although much more remains to be done, we are saving lives and have made significant strides towards bring health and wellness to this area.
