Parents, the last day of tryouts will be August 1st and official rosters will be posted the morning of August 2nd. All players who make a team will need to have a parent/guardian attend the informational meeting that evening at 6pm in the gym after practice.

Good evening, PC Volleyball families! I am delighted to share the following information with you. This is directly from our athletic director, Mr. Stafford:

We have interviewed for the PCHS Head Volleyball Coach Position. We offered a candidate who has accepted the position. She has experience both playing and coaching volleyball. She is also certified and experienced in teaching in an area where we have a teaching opening. The next step is board approval which is required of all new hires in the district. The next board meeting is May 9th.

We plan to have 2 rounds of tryouts:

1st round of tryouts will be 6:30-8:30 pm May 10, 11, 12, 15, 16. Tryouts will be in the Main gym at Paulding County High School each day except for May 15 will be in the old gym at Paulding County High School. This tryout is required for all current 9-11 grade PCHS students interested in playing volleyball for PCHS next year and any current 8th graders who will attend PCHS next year.

To tryout students must have a current physical on file with PCHS. The form is below.

Students who make the first cut will be allowed to attend summer workouts.

An informational parent/player meeting to meet the coach and get details regarding summer opportunities and the upcoming season will follow shortly after 1st round of tryouts.

2nd round of tryouts will be shortly after the start of the school year. This tryout will be to give any students new to PCHS an opportunity to try out and to finalize the roster should any additional cuts be necessary.

Please make sure you have a current complete physical on file with PCHS Athletic Secretary Ms. Penate prior to the tryout at [email protected]. Form attached.

Good morning, PC Volleyball players and families!

Just wanted to update everyone on the status of our program. I’ve spoken with Coach Stafford about what’s in the works for next season. As of now, he has no concrete information. They have potential coaching candidates but no one has been hired and/or board approved. So, we are still playing the waiting game. He hopes we can have tryouts around May 10th - however, this date is a TENTATIVE date and is dependent on a coach being hired AND board approved.

If no one is hired by that time, we may have a similar situation as last season where there are summer workouts and sessions for anyone who wants to participate with tryouts happening the first week of school. Nothing is set in stone at this moment.

Please know that this is the Official PCHS Volleyball Booster page. The most current information and dates will be posted here. I promise to keep everyone updated once we have concrete information that has been approved by the AD to share.
