We Are Family Bipolar 1 / Manic Depressive Mental Health Organization To provide support, insight, understanding and help to those afflicted by Bipolar Manic/Depression through experience with Mental Illness diagnosed in 1992

I was going along, day after day, getting busier and busier with teaching school. All the sixth graders! I had my daughter and the minute was very important. I became quick to temper, getting angry, but more than anything frustrated with why was I feeling like this. Then I all of a sudden I was having band in Enrichment in my classroom.l and then I called my parents at five in the morning singin

g songs that I had written on a keyboard. People started saying something is wrong with you .... and for 7 nights I did not sleep. I was put in a Mental Health Facility and was diagnosed with Bipolar
Manic/Depressive disorder. I say both names because I am Specializing in Manic and Depression. I have had a wild slew of psych wards, out-patient programs for both alcohol and mental illness. I finally had to take charge and take care of myself. Through prayer and finding God and the willingness to trust in Him, I am able to work today. I would like this page to be a resource for advice. In the US, today we are celebrating a day of Giving Thanks. Many of us will be spending time with family and friends. Some of us will be happy about it and some of us will not be. And then there will be those who will not be spending time with family or friends because they have gone no contact, or they are homeless, living on the streets, or are in shelters due to needing to flee their homes for various reasons.

Every moment is a reason to give thanks, as every breath is limited, finite, and life itself has an expiration date.

Now before we start feeling down and out because of this post, my intention is simple...while giving thanks today for whatever it is we have, or for whomever we will be spending time with, please take a moment and fill the airwaves with LOVE and COMPASSION for those less fortunate than ourselves.

When we give thanks and at the same time, offer grace and compassion to those who have no home or family to go to, we double bless ourselves as well as others.

The humble compassionate hearts of the world, heal the world.

I am thankful for you, your heart, your love, your desire to grow, to challenge your beliefs, and your willingness to change in you what has been holding you back.

May you join me today as we fill the matrix with gratitude, thanks, and compassion for all.

Wherever you are today, know you are enough!
