When Gregg Allman died at his home near Savannah, Georgia due to complications from liver cancer, the music world lost one of its greatest and most consistent performers.

He was a fixture on theater, arena and festival stages for almost 50 years as a member of the Allman Brothers Band and a solo artist.

Allman hadn’t performed in over six months. A string of canceled shows going back to November 2016 were a sure sign to fans that Allman was gravely ill.

His final show was in Atlanta on October 29, 2016. The date is significant because Duane Allman died on October 29, 1971, and the Allman Brothers Band intentionally finished their final show on that date in 2014, after which Allman continued to perform with his solo band.

Ok yall this year we have asked for the applicants for summer camp in July for Dudes Rock Camp and Chicks Who Rock Camp to do an audition video or a video saying why they want to come to camp. We fill up every year now for the last couple of years and we want students there who want to be there. Lilly’s mom said I could share this video. it will be her 3rd year. Lilly IS a CHICK WHO ROCKS
This is why we donate so much of our time to KIDS WHO ROCK! Thank you parents for allowing your children to shine. Thank you Harmony Science Academy-Garland for allowing us to use your space and influence your students as well.

Chris Cornell’s passing, at age 52, was shocking for its unexpectedness.

Accounts of his final show vary. Some witnesses say Cornell appeared to be in good spirits. Others sensed that something was off. But then, hindsight is always 20/20.

Cornell possessed one of the most distinctive voices in rock music – powerful enough to cut through the thickest wall of grunge guitar squall, yet subtly expressive, dappled with a broad spectrum of emotional colors.

A prolific songwriter as well, his down-tuned dolor and jagged rhythmic sensibilities did much to set the tone and pace for American rock in the Nineties.

Duane, the owner of Platinum Music Complex NRH was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to his liver.

Despite this devastating news, he remains determined to fight and is currently working toward starting chemotherapy to see what options are available next. His resilience and commitment to his community are truly inspiring, even in the face of such uncertainty.

Throughout this difficult journey, Duane continues to pour his heart into Platinum Music Complex NRH, ensuring that the music and memories keep going for everyone who loves the space. However, the mounting medical bills and treatment costs are a heavy burden. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping Duane cover these expenses, allowing him to focus on his health and the music community he cherishes so much.

Thank you so much for supporting Duane in this awful time of need. Your generosity means the world to him and everyone at Platinum Music Complex NRH. Cheers to many more years of music, memories, and community ahead. Every bit of help brings hope for brighter days.
