As we prepare to welcome a new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on the relationships we've fostered over the years. Relationships shape our lives, but not all of them nurture our growth. Use this time to observe and evaluate:

 Who consistently celebrates your wins and lifts you higher?

 Who only shows up when they need something—a favor, support, or to "pick your brain"?

 Who disappears after you’ve helped them, especially after their big day or when they’ve gotten what they wanted?

 Who creates chaos—on your birthday, during the holidays, or even afterward?

 Who slyly throws shade with slick comments in conversations?

 Who checks in on you when you’re at your lowest, offering support when it matters the most?

This reflection isn't about holding grudges—it's about choosing peace, protecting your energy, and prioritizing relationships that bring joy, growth, and love into your life.

As 2025 approaches, challenge yourself to embrace connections that genuinely nourish your soul and let go of those that drain you. Invest in relationships that celebrate you, uplift you, and align with your values.

Once again, it's Tell All Tuesday! My goal is to empower you by sharing valuable information

The top 4 MANIPULATIVE TACTICS used to control their victims

1. Gaslighting: Abusers make their victims question their own sanity, memory, or perception. They deny previous agreements or conversations, or tell their victims that they're overreacting or being too sensitive.

2. Emotional Blackmail: Abusers use guilt, self-pity, or threats to control their victims' emotions and actions. They might say things like "If you really loved me, you'd do this" or "I'll hurt myself if you leave me."

3. Isolation: Abusers isolate their victims from friends, family, and support networks. They might restrict access to phones, cars, or finances, making their victims dependent on them.

4. Trauma Bonding: Abusers create a cycle of abuse, followed by apologies and affection. This creates a strong emotional bond between the victim and abuser, making it harder for the victim to leave the relationship.

20 years ago, I broke free from the choke hold of emotional abuse and started my journey towards empowerment. I rose from the ashes, determined to reclaim my life and create a brighter future. Through self-help books, journaling, and saving, I slowly rebuilt my sense of self-worth.

But I didn't stop there. I took bold steps towards financial independence, selling jewelry and eventually earning my degree in business. With each accomplishment, I felt myself growing stronger, more resilient.

And now, I'm dedicated to helping others do the same. Through social media, I'm on a mission to empower Domestic Violence survivors, bringing awareness to the subtle yet suffocating grip of emotional abuse.

I believe in the transformative power of education, skill-building, and community support. That's why I'm passionate about teaching sustainable income skills, like Canva design, to help survivors regain control over their lives.

My story is one of hope, resilience, and determination. If I can rise above the darkness, so can you. Let's join forces, support one another, and shatter the silence surrounding emotional abuse. Together, we can create a brighter, bolder future.
