Dear EYTFA Member,

The Eagles Youth Track and Field Association is a voluntary operated, non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide an fun and exciting exposure to the sport of Track and Field for kids K-6. We are excited to support the Eagles Track program and a college bound track student each year. Due to the cancellation of this season, we will look forward to next season to continue our support. We place a priority on the safety of our participants an their families.

We looked at different options for registration funds, but feel like refunding the full cost of registration to all registrants is the best solution. Unfortunately we will not be able to refund the processing fee that was charged by Blue Sombrero/Sports Connect.

Blue Sombrero/Sports Connect has been working hard to enable refunds through the registration portal. We have made arrangements to facilitate refunds for the 2020 Spring Season Registration cost. For the 2020 Spring Season they do not have a direct way to facilitate the refunds. However, we have been able to identify a workaround to initiate the refunds. The refunds will be processed this coming Monday and Tuesday. It could take 3-5 days to see the refund in your bank or on your statement. You should receive an email as this is processed.

Following the recent recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Eagles Youth Track and Field Association Board Members have made the difficult decision to cancel the Spring 2020 season.

In light of the progressive situation of COVID-19 in the State of Texas, the Governor Abbott has decided to end all school and associated events for the remainder of the academic year. Even though we are not officially a school district event, we know that this decision is in alignment with recommendations and is the best decision for our participants and the families. We exhausted all possible avenues to potentially postpone competition for the spring season. However, we believe following the recommendations of the CDC is in the best interest of our athletes.

Regarding registrations funds, we are working with our registration portal management company to facilitate refunds. This is unprecedented for them and we have been working with Sports Connect/Blue Sombrero to be able to offer a refund of registration fees.

We will continue to work with them until Friday, April 24, 2020. IF they do not have a resolve by then, we will make other arrangements to facilitate cancellations and communicate the options for registration fees.

We wanted to extend communication to our Eagles Youth Track families in regards to the recent public concern with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). With all the communication going around, we wanted to assure you that your health and safety is of top priority to us.

The Eagles Youth Track & Field Association is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for the youth to enjoy the sport of track and field alongside friends and family.

Due to recent events and advancements with the spread of the Coronavirus, we are following the recommendations of the local, state and federal health agencies. Given the recommendations we are postponing the upcoming 2020 track season. We will remain in concert with the recommendations provided by the authoritative agencies and with the actions of the school district. As the conditions and concerns with COVID-19 subside, we will re-schedule the track season.

We look forward to have a great track and field season. Please, stay safe and healthy. Follow the recommendations of the CDC and authoritative agencies on this matter.
- Wash you hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- If soap and water is not available, use an alcohol base had sanitizer.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
- If you are sick, stay at home
- Avoid contact with others that are sick.
- Clean and disinfect commonly touched surface.

We will keep you posted on the upcoming season. Be ready to run!!!

This camp will be operated by the Eaton track team while overseen by their coaches.

They will be introducing the following events (with modifications for the younger kids)

Track Meet tonight beginning at 6:00

Just a heads up there is a home game for Eaton Softball going on tonight beginning at 5:00. So parking may be tight! Get there early🙂

Plan to park on the south side of our track between High School and Adams Middle School. There is a gate on that side we’ll have open!
