Heart House Heart House is a nonprofit that provides safety, education and opportunity to refugee and underprivileged children.

Heart House's mission is to empower refugee, immigrant, and under-resourced children in Vickery Meadow by providing enhanced opportunities for educational equity through literacy and social-emotional learning. Heart House provides interventions and support services to move students from a mindset of chaos to an oasis of calm.

Whether they’re helping students stay engaged, building meaningful connections, or jumping in wherever needed, these hidden gems help make Heart House feel welcoming and full of joy. 💛

Today, we’re celebrating two incredible treasures here at Heart House — Camryn and Mojgan. These amazing educators help guide our young scallywags through every classroom adventure with patience, creativity, encouragement, and care. 💛

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Saida Abdi as a featured speaker for the Whole Child, Whole Community Symposium!

A nationally recognized expert in refugee trauma and resilience, Dr. Abdi has spent more than 20 years working alongside immigrant and refugee youth and families to strengthen systems of care and community support.

We’re honored to have her join us for this important conversation on June 18.

Our students were excited to receive “Hugs of Hope” bags from Color me SAFE Foundation and Charities2Love! Together, they donated more than 40 thoughtfully prepared bags filled with stuffed animals, mindful toys, books, and heartfelt notes from volunteers.

These gifts may seem small, but they make a big impact. Our students truly look forward to receiving these bags each year, and we are incredibly thankful for the care, compassion, and encouragement poured into every single one. 💛

We had an egg-cellent time at our Egg Hunt Extravaganza last week! 🥚💐
Seeing our students light up with excitement and joy made the day incredibly special. Moments like these remind us how important it is to create fun, meaningful experiences for our kids.

From breakfast and makeovers to lunch and meaningful conversations, it was a day filled with love, wellness, and appreciation!
We’re also so grateful to Maryanne Piña for sharing her powerful story and inspiring message on self-care and prioritizing yourself.
