💚 Bronze Sponsor Shoutout: City of DeSoto! 💚

We are proud to recognize the City of DeSoto as a Bronze Sponsor of this year’s DeSoto Vantage Day!

DeSoto has been my home for more than 30 years, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving this city in many different capacities. This community has been such an important part of my life and my journey of service, which makes the City’s continued support of the Denise Valentine Foundation especially meaningful to me.

DeSoto Vantage Day is all about bringing our community together to share knowledge, create opportunities, support one another, and invest in our future—and I’m grateful to have the City of DeSoto standing alongside us as we continue that mission.

Thank you, City of DeSoto, for your Bronze Sponsorship and for investing in an event created for the community we both love! 💚

Come join us for this fun & impactful event on December 17th from 5-8PM

About last week… 💙✨

As Founder & CEO of the Denise Valentine Foundation, I believe in showing up, building relationships, and creating opportunities.

Last week, I had the privilege of connecting with nonprofit leaders at the Hispanic Coalition of North Texas Nonprofit Leaders Luncheon and engaging with students at the DeSoto ISD College Fair. 🤝🏽🎓

At the College Fair, DVF Board members and I talked about community service, scholarships, and DeSoto Vantage Day — conversations that remind me why investing in our young people matters so much.

Our youth have potential. Our community has purpose. And together, we can create opportunities that make a difference.

💙 Want to help us continue the work?

Donate. Support scholarships. Invest in our youth.

Their dedication aligns seamlessly with DeSoto Vantage Day—an annual initiative hosted by the Denise Valentine Foundation to provide the community with opportunities for connection, impactful resources, and raise funds for scholarships for our future leaders!

Thank you, D.P.C.C., for standing with us to empower our community! 🧡

Investing in our community means investing in knowledge, connections, and continued learning. 💚

Earlier this week, several members of the Denise Valentine Foundation (DVF) Board recently attended a Lunch & Learn hosted by the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation (DeSoto EDC), featuring Gus Garcia, Executive Director of Economic Development for the City of DeSoto.

The seminar provided valuable insights into:
• Economic development updates
• The Façade Grant Program
• New tools and resources available to support local businesses

We appreciate the DeSoto EDC for creating opportunities that help community leaders stay informed and better understand the resources available to the businesses and residents we serve.

At DVF, we believe stronger organizations create stronger communities. We are committed to continuous learning so we can continue to make a meaningful impact through our programs and initiatives.

Investing in Knowledge. Strengthening Our Mission.

Today, the Denise Valentine Foundation had the opportunity to participate in Congressman Marc Veasey’s Annual Grant Writing Workshop at UT Arlington.

For a nonprofit organization, continuing education is not a luxury—it is an important part of building capacity and increasing our impact. Learning how to better navigate the grant process, develop competitive proposals, and identify funding opportunities helps us become stronger stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

We are committed to continuously learning, growing, and improving so that the Denise Valentine Foundation can expand opportunities and make an even greater difference in the communities we serve.

We don’t just invest in our programs—we invest in our ability to make those programs successful.

Your support helps make that possible. Consider making a donation to the Denise Valentine Foundation today. Every contribution helps us build capacity, expand opportunities, and continue investing in the people and programs that strengthen our community.

Invest in our mission. Invest in our community. Donate today:
