# # Denial Is Not a River in Egypt
We talk a lot about wanting peace.
Peace in our relationships.
Peace in our communities.
Peace throughout the world.
But here's a question we don't ask nearly enough:
**How can we create peace around us when we're still fighting a war within ourselves?**
If there's constant negative self-talk running through your mind...
If you're carrying resentment from an old relationship...
If you're still angry about something that happened years ago—or even five minutes ago...
Are you really at peace?
Sometimes we convince ourselves that we've moved on simply because we've stopped talking about something.
But there's a big difference between **healing something and burying it.**
You can push anger down.
You can stuff painful memories into the darkest corners of your mind.
You can tell yourself:
*"That was in the past. It doesn't affect me anymore."*
But if the emotions surrounding that experience are still influencing your decisions, relationships, confidence, or happiness...
The past may not be as far behind you as you think.
And here's where denial becomes dangerous.
Those unresolved emotional patterns can quietly become the background soundtrack of our lives.
*"I'm not good enough."*
*"People always hurt me."*
*"Nothing ever works out for me."*
*"I can't trust anyone."*
*"I'll never have what I really want."*
Play those tapes long enough and eventually they begin influencing the life you're creating.
The Ezekiel Method isn't about endlessly talking about your problems.
You already know your story.
**It's about changing your relationship with the emotional patterns that story left behind.**
Real peace begins within.
And sometimes the first step toward creating it is having the courage to look underneath the rug and finally deal with what we've been sweeping under there.
If you're ready to stop making excuses, confront what's been holding you back, and start creating the life you've only dreamed of, let's talk.
