For so many of us, this fight is personal.

We play, volunteer, and show up for the women who raised us—the ones who taught us strength, compassion, and unconditional love. And for too many families, those same women are now facing Alzheimer’s disease.

This Mother’s Day, we honor them not just with words, but with action—and by continuing the mission to fund research, support caregivers, and fight for a cure.

Roman Łuczycki was and will always be a deeply meaningful part of the BvB Dallas community. He proudly served as Head Coach of Team Pink, but his impact extended far beyond one team—he brought people together across the entire organization.

Roman had a magnetic, joyful energy that drew people in instantly. He was goofy in the best way, endlessly warm, and truly a friend to everyone. Beneath his lighthearted spirit and infectious laugh was an unbelievably caring and thoughtful heart. He loved his people deeply and fiercely, putting real intention into every relationship. He had a rare ability to make every person feel seen, valued, and important, leaving a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.

He meant so much to this organization, and his impact will continue to be felt in the community he helped shape and the lives he touched. We love you, Roman.

A Dallas memorial and celebration of Roman’s life will be held this Sunday, April 26th, from 3-5pm at Tietze Park. All are welcome.

On Friday, some of us got the opportunity to tour where we learned about how our donations are making an impact in our community.

leads the Aging Well Lab, affiliated with the University’s Center for Vital Longevity, where she researches learning, motivation, and decision-making across adulthood. Using behavioral studies, computational modeling, and neuroimaging techniques, she aims to promote health and well-being throughout the lifespan.
