DFW Book Reviewers, Storytellers and Entertainers Association

DFW Book Reviewers, Storytellers and Entertainers Association We're an association of speakers who present book review programs for women's clubs & literary groups in the Dallas TX area.

For a detailed list of presenters, with head shots, contact info & available programs, click the PHOTO section. This is a networking page to expand communication between Dallas area Book Review Presenters and the clubs. We present to groups in Dallas and any of the surrounding DFW communities; Richardson, Plano, Allen, Mc Kinney, Irving, Grand Prairie, Desoto, Duncalville, Lancaster, Rockwall, Row

lett, Garland, Wylie, Ft Worth, Arlington, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Lewisville, Flower Mound and more. To clarify, here are some notes about our speakers or book review presenters: We use the term 'book reviewing' in the sense that we each prepare a program, usually 45 to 60 minutes in length, that is an informative and entertaining presentation of a selected book or group of books. A few of us present books we have authored and may have copies for sale. We do not write or give critiques for authors looking for feedback. We also do not publish reviews, on bookseller websites like Amazon, for authors looking to promote the sale of their works.

I will happily present on Zoom or in person

I Review Musical Memoirs of Beloved Women Entertainers.
Newest Book: Julie Andrews' 'Home Work' - a memoir by Julie (with Julie's Music) A Sequel to her memoir of her child hood, 'Home Work' begins with Julie's Arrival in Hollywood. She recounts fun stories of playing Mary Poppins, Maria, in Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, playing opposite Paul Newman in Torn Curtain and More. As always, I perform well loved tunes from the shows recalled.

I review autobiographies and sing the music of:
Carol Burnett, 2 by Julie Andrews, Rosemary Clooney,
Carol Channing, Linda Ronstadt, Peggy Lee and Shirley Jones.

In December I offer a comedy-music show -
Mrs Santa's Holiday Swing - a - long - Jazzy arrangements of holiday favorites with comedy from the ORIGINAL Desperate Housewife: Mrs Claus!
