Congratulations to Cadet Blane Duplissey on his selection as one of 200 selects worldwide from a pool of over 1,300 applicants for an AFJROTC Flight Academy scholarship! The scholarship will pay over $22,500, covering transportation, room and board, academics and flight hours to allow Cadet Duplissey to take aviation-related college coursework, aviation ground school, and approximately 40 flight hours this summer. Upon completing the program, he will have the opportunity to potentially earn his Private Pilot Certificate.
Over the last three years, the Forney ISD JROTC program has had 5 of 6 cadets selected for this very competitive and prestigious program, with at least 1 each year.
