The wait is finally over! ✨ The mission team from Dallas has officially touched down in Honduras, and our hearts are completely full.
We would like to share some incredible pieces of Mayan and Lenca pottery (swipe to see!). This felt profoundly symbolic, as several of the incredibly talented women in our Arte y Creatividad group are of full-blooded Lenca descent.

Seeing that ancient artistry right as we landed was the perfect reminder of the deep roots and cultural pride that flow into every single piece our artisans create. 🇭🇳❤️

This annual visit is one of the most anticipated weeks of the year. Over the next few days, we’ll be diving into workshops to learn new techniques and elevate our craft—but more importantly, we’ll be sharing quality time, stories, and laughter with the beautiful artists and everyone who makes the Honduras Threads family so special. 🧵

Suitcases are packed, materials are sorted, and our hearts are incredibly full! ✈️🇭🇳
Our Honduras Threads team is officially gearing up for our upcoming mission trip to Honduras! Very soon, our missionaries will be on the ground, visiting the talented women artisans and their beautiful families in their own communities.
We often get asked: “Where exactly do the funds from my purchases and donations go?” This trip is the perfect answer to that question. Every time you buy a handcrafted piece or make a donation to Honduras Threads, you are directly funding missions like this one. Because of your generosity, our team is able to:
Deliver High-Quality Materials: We are bringing suitcases filled with the essential supplies and threads these artisans need to create their stunning work.
Provide Hands-on Training: Our team will be teaching new sewing and crafting techniques, equipping these women with the skills they need to improve their craft, innovate their designs, and grow their small businesses.
Strengthen Communities: By visiting their homes, we build lasting relationships, listen to their needs, and ensure our support is truly uplifting their families.

Some of the most beautiful moments during our cross-border missions don’t happen on a stage—they happen huddled around a work table, lit by the warm Honduran sun.
When our teams visit from Dallas, one of our favorite traditions is creating a space where the children of the “Arte y Creatividad” cooperative can learn directly from the master artists in their lives: their mothers. Together with the missionaries, the kids discover the patience, precision, and history woven into every single dense stitch.
Watching a child realize that their mother isn’t just sewing, but creating world-class fine art, is magical. They aren’t just learning an embroidery technique; they are inheriting a legacy of independence, entrepreneurship, and creative pride. By understanding the dedication behind Honduras Threads, these children see firsthand how their mothers are independently providing a better life and a brighter future for their entire household.
The future of our community is bright, and it is being stitched together with love, pride, and shared tradition.
