Thanks so much to Center for Government and Civic Service for inviting SFCC to the 2nd Annual Central Texas Climate & Sustainability Summit. We had an amazing time, learned very valuable information about the environmental issues affecting Central Texas and the country, and made some great community connections. On this May Day, SFCC joined together with
SDS, SILS, UTGWU, and EJC in marching from the UT Tower to the Capitol to rally together against UT’s investments in companies that work with ICE, particularly Enterprise. SFCC stands in solidarity with these organizations in their fights against UT’s blatant lack of transparency and accountability in issues such as the use of sweatshop labor, the consolidation of ethnic and gender studies, and their perpetuation of the climate crisis. This fight may be long and difficult, but it is worth the struggle. The student body has a lot more power than Jim Davis wants you to believe.

The people united will never be defeated!
