Introducing Beyond the Walls, Beside Every Child ❤️

When a parent is incarcerated, their child still deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

At the start of this school year, Beyond the Walls Outreach began a new initiative to support children whose parents are incarcerated. We’ve already helped three children with back-to-school clothes and supplies. Now we’re preparing to support these children during the holidays, too.

We want them to know their community is standing beside them, in the classroom and through the holiday season.

🌳🍐 HELP US PLANT 100 FRUIT TREES! 🍑🌳

Y’all, we are on a mission to plant 100 fruit trees, and we need YOUR help to make it happen! 💚

Imagine sponsoring a tree that grows, produces fruit, and honors someone special for years to come.

Here are the trees we’re looking for:

🍐 Orient pear
🫐 Celeste or Brown Turkey fig
🍏 Li jujube
🍑 Methley plum
🍑 Harvester peach

When you sponsor a tree, we’ll create a personalized plaque featuring either:

Beyond the Walls Outreach is proud to partner with the Sherman Police Department to help local children return to school prepared, confident, and excited for a successful year!

Our Juneteenth Celebration was packed with fun for the kids! From colorful face painting and exciting bounce houses to our interactive mobile library, there was something for every child to enjoy.

One of the highlights was seeing children explore the mobile library, discover new books, and experience the joy of reading. Because literacy matters, and every child deserves opportunities to learn, dream, and grow.

At Beyond the Walls Outreach, we’re committed to creating events that are not only fun but also educational and enriching for our youth. Seeing the smiles, laughter, and excitement on the faces of our children was truly priceless!

🐐🐰❤️ One thing was clear at our Juneteenth Celebration the kids absolutely LOVED the petting zoo!

From feeding the animals to getting up close with some furry new friends, the smiles, laughter, and excitement were priceless. Watching our children learn, explore, and create memories is exactly why we work so hard to bring these experiences to our community.

As we look back on an incredible Juneteenth Celebration, we want to take a moment to recognize the amazing vendors who helped make this event such a success.

These photos capture some of the setup moments the early arrivals, the tents going up, tables being arranged, products being displayed, grills being fired up, and the hard work happening before the community ever arrived. Events like this don’t just happen; they are built by dedicated people who invest their time, energy, and resources to serve our community.

To each vendor, food truck, nonprofit, small business owner, artisan, community partner, and entrepreneur, THANK YOU! Your participation helped create an atmosphere of unity, culture, fellowship, education, and economic empowerment.
