This handsome and gentle boy, Odie, came to us when his owner died. You’ll notice we’ve posted not only his face, but also his butt. That’s because he has a baseball-sized fistula on his rear. Because of nerve involvement, it requires a specialist surgeon to remove it.
This is only the 2nd or 3rd time in our 7 years of history that we’ve asked for donations on Facebook, but we need all the help we can get. The surgery will be done in 6 weeks at Maizie’s Mission in Plano for a cost of between $2,300 and $2,500 including bloodwork. From now through September 17, you can donate to us through North Texas Giving Day. Or you can donate on our website at www.happydancedogrescue.com/donations.
Anything you can give will help us out. We’ll post Odie’s progress here and have him do a little butt dance when he’s healed.
