Lakeside Ambucs Creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities Lakeside Ambucs members are from the Rockwall and surrounding areas.

Created in 1922, AMBUCS is a non-profit service organization consisting of a diverse group of business men and women who are dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities. We strive to bring mobility to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. Our caring group of volunteers go to great lengths to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play and grow and every individual has a regained sense of independence.

Monday we celebrated our 13th annual Lakeside Ambucs Golf Tournament. It was a great day for golfers, volunteers and the two special needs kiddos that received trykes. You too can be part of our merry bunch of guys and gals!! We work hard and we play hard and we do great work in the community. Kimaya Consulting, Llc and Toby Metcalf-Kelly joined Lakeside Ambucs on the kickoff of their 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Outback Steakhouse in Wylie, celebrating the incredible sponsors and partners who help make their mission possible.

One of the most special moments of the evening was seeing Blakelynn receive her new Big Wheel trike—a moment filled with so much joy! 🥹💙

From great food and fellowship to raffle prizes and stories about the impact of Lakeside Ambucs, it was a night that truly brought the Rockwall community together.

The night before the big day and our Lakeside AMBUCS crew is making the last drop of the night before we hit the ground running tomorrow for our golf tournament! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

We may not have pointy shoes or magical powers, but we DO have a whole lot of teamwork, dedication, caffeine, and excitement! 😂☕️💪

A huge thank you to everyone who has worked behind the scenes to get us ready, and to all of our incredible sponsors, donors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters who make this day possible. ❤️

⛳️ The countdown is ON! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

Our Lakeside AMBUCS team was out today getting ready for our 13th Annual Golf Tournament at Firewheel Golf Park this Monday, and we are getting SO excited! 🎉

There’s a lot that goes into making an event like this happen, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible sponsors, donors, teams, volunteers, and the amazing people whose lives are impacted by Lakeside AMBUCS. ❤️

Today was all about planning, preparation, teamwork, and getting ready to make Monday an incredible day!

🧸🏍️ TODAY WAS A SPECIAL DAY IN ROCKWALL! ❤️

Today we gathered at the Rockwall County Courthouse for the Teddy Bear Run benefiting Bikes for Trykes, and what an incredible day it was!

We had the absolute honor of giving away TWO TRYKES to two very deserving children! 🚲✨ Seeing their smiles and knowing these specially designed TRYKES will give them greater independence, mobility, and opportunities to simply enjoy being a kid is what it’s all about.

This is why community matters. ❤️ When people come together, show up, give back, and invest in one another, we can make a real difference in the lives of local families.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, volunteered, rode, and helped make today possible. Your generosity and heart are what make events like the Teddy Bear Run so special!

⛳️ Behind every great event is an even greater team. ❤️

Our Lakeside AMBUCS board members have been working hard preparing for our 13th Annual Golf Tournament, and there’s nothing better than taking a little time afterward to step away from the planning, enjoy a great dinner, and celebrate the people who make it all happen.

What makes this team special isn’t just the countless hours, phone calls, meetings, and details that go into creating a successful tournament. It’s the camaraderie, trust, laughter, and genuine care we have for one another.

We work hard together. We support each other. We laugh together. And most importantly, we share a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others through Lakeside AMBUCS. 🙌

Strong teams don’t happen by accident. They’re built through shared purpose, showing up for one another, and remembering to enjoy the journey along the way.
