Social media can be a great way for teens to connect, learn, and express themselves—but it can also impact their mental and emotional well-being in ways that aren't always easy to recognize.

As parents, we don't have to monitor every post or know every trend. What matters most is staying connected to our kids and creating space for honest conversations.

Swipe through to learn three signs that social media may be affecting your teen. Recognizing these warning signs is the first step toward helping them build healthier digital habits.

Technology is part of our kids' everyday lives—and it's here to stay. The goal isn't to eliminate screens or fear social media. It's to help our children develop the wisdom and confidence to use technology in healthy ways.

That starts with us.

Every conversation, every boundary, and every example we set helps shape how our kids interact with the digital world.

This month, we're sharing practical tools, conversation starters, and resources to help parents navigate screen time and social media with confidence.

đź’™ Together, we can raise a generation that knows how to use technology wisely.

Doom scrolling isn't just an adult habit—teens experience it too.

With endless content, constant notifications, and pressure to stay connected, it can be hard for young people to recognize when scrolling is doing more harm than good.

The good news? Parents don't need to have all the answers. Small, consistent conversations about technology can help teens build healthier habits and stronger digital boundaries.

👉 Swipe through to learn what doom scrolling is, how it can affect teens, and one simple way to start the conversation at home.

Before the first bell rings, there's one more thing to add to your back-to-school checklist.

Have a conversation.

Not about homework.
Not about grades.
Not about making the team.

Talk about how your child is feeling, what they're excited about, what they're worried about, and who they can turn to if they need help.

These conversations don't have to be long or perfect. They just need to happen.

When children know they have a safe place to share what's on their mind, they begin the school year with something more valuable than confidence—they begin with connection.

Swipe through for five meaningful conversations to have before the school year begins.

Before the school year begins, make space to listen.

Sometimes your child's excitement is easy to hear. Other times, their worries are hidden behind a simple, "I'm fine."

The questions you ask matter—but so does how you listen.

When you create a safe space for honest conversations, you help your child feel seen, heard, and supported. And those moments of connection can have a lasting impact long after the first day of school.

Swipe through for five things to listen for and conversation starters to help keep the dialogue going.

As parents, we often spend the weeks before school making sure backpacks are packed, schedules are set, and supplies are checked off the list.

But one of the most important things you can do doesn't cost a thing.

Ask your child:

"What are you most looking forward to this school year?"

Their answer might tell you about a new friendship they're excited to make, a class they're eager to take, or a goal they hope to achieve. More importantly, it lets them know you're interested in what matters to them.

Meaningful conversations don't have to be long or perfect. They simply need to happen.

Visit the link in bio for our free Back-to-School Conversation Guide and parent blog to help you start these important conversations.

Because a connected student is a protected student.
