This month, we were honored to receive a generous grant from Dallas Children's Charities!šŸ’« We are incredibly grateful for the meaningful relationships we continue to build throughout the DFW community, and especially thankful for the support of this outstanding organization.šŸ™Œ

Community is one of our core values at DFW Angels. We know that lasting impact is only possible through strong partnerships with organizations, corporations, and individuals who share our heart for children, youth, and families experiencing foster care. Thank you, Dallas Children's Charities, for believing in our mission and helping us continue this important work.

Together, we're creating brighter futures and ensuring more children and families in the foster care community feel seen, supported, and loved. ā¤ļø

Kids helping kids. This is where it starts. šŸ’›

It started with parents who chose to involve their kids early, teaching them that showing up for others is just part of who we are.

Now, these three are doing chores, saving their money, and choosing month after month to give to the Angel Alliance.

And in the process, they are learning something bigger than generosity.
That their actions matter.
That consistency builds trust.
That even at a young age, they can help change someone else’s story.

Because when you learn to show up early, it becomes part of who you are.

If kids can do this, imagine what is possible for all of us.

Caring for children and families experiencing foster care is not someone else’s responsibility. It belongs to all of us.

Reaching every child will take a community of people willing to say yes.

This is how change happens. Together.

So what is your yes?

Yes to volunteering.
Yes to mentoring.
Yes to giving.
Yes to partnering.

Foster Care Month is coming to an end. The mission is not.
This isn’t one-sided.

Showing up changes lives and it changes you too.
It builds purpose, perspective, and connection in ways you do not expect.

82% of youth, families, and volunteers stay connected even after the program ends. Your yes creates lasting relationships that change lives, and you in the process.

Every yes — mentoring, volunteering, giving, or partnering, leaves a mark that lasts far beyond the program.

How will you give your yes?

These Love BoxĀ® volunteers said yes.

And what started as showing up for a family became something more, something that changed everyone involved.

This National Foster Care Month, here’s what we know: showing up for children and families experiencing foster care doesn’t just change their lives – it changes yours too.

Because when families are supported, everything shifts.
They can keep showing up for their children. And when volunteers show up, their lives are changed too.

What begins as a simple yes becomes connection, purpose, and community.

Children are waiting. Families are ready.

If this mission stirs something in you – don’t ignore it.

Will you say yes?
Yes to volunteering.
Yes to mentoring.
Yes to giving.
Yes to partnering.

There’s no one way to say yes. Just yours.

This is a call to our community: We need your help clearing our waitlist! This means we are looking for some amazing volunteers to join our Love Box program and walk alongside children and families who are experiencing foster care.🪽

We adore these families - they are doing so much to care for children in-need! And we want to match them with consistent, safe, loving volunteers who will support them, and help make their foster care journey a little more joyful šŸ˜„ . Each family is special and unique, but they ALL would benefit from the help of our community.šŸ’—

If you or someone you know live in or around any of these DFW towns and would be willing to step in, please send us a message or visit our website for more information. You can also apply to volunteer at our link in bio.ā¤ļø

The solution to the foster care crisis isn’t complicated — it’s community.
Somewhere along the way, we stopped showing up for our neighbors. We’re here to change that and we’re asking you to be part of it.

When you say yes to consistent support, you help provide children and families with stability, connection, and the tools they need to thrive before challenges become crises.

Your yes can change the foster care experience. What’s your yes? Volunteer. Mentor. Give. Partner.

If this reality sparks something in you, don’t ignore it.

These Dare to DreamĀ® mentors said yes.

Yes to showing up. Yes to consistency. Yes to walking alongside youth experiencing foster care.

This National Foster Care Month, understand this: the foster care system is complex but the solution is simple. It’s people. People who choose to show up again and again, building consistent, caring relationships along the way.

Because when consistent relationships are present, everything shifts. Confidence grows. Stability increases. Youth begin to see what’s possible for their future.

That’s the power of mentorship, not fixing, but showing up. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to say yes.
There’s no one way to say yes. Just yours.

Be the reason someone’s story changes.

Instability is one of the greatest hurdles in foster care. Did you know that over 50% of foster homes close within the first year? This often means constant moves. New schools, new rules, and new faces. When a child moves homes, they lose more than a roof; they lose their sense of security.

In a world of constant change, the most powerful thing you can offer is consistency. You do not need to be a hero. You do not need to have all the answers.

You just need to be the person who stays. Month after month. Conversation after conversation.

Consistency builds trust. Trust builds stability. Stability changes everything.
You don’t have to have it all figured out—just be willing to say yes. There’s no one right way. Only yours.
What’s your yes?
Volunteer. Mentor. Give. Partner.
