We have been working hard behind the scenes, and I am so incredibly proud to remind everyone that our first-ever ELO National Championship is October 30th to November 1st at the Kentucky Horse Park!

“The Creekview Riding Center ELO Academy is a community for horse enthusiasts who want to explore and grow in liberty and bridleless horsemanship in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Through clinics, practice days, and local liberty shows, the CRC ELO Academy encourages participation in liberty activities while building confidence, communication, trust, and partnership between horses and humans. Our private group FB page will give members a place to celebrate their training wins, discuss challenges, and keep up to date on CRC ELO Academy activities.”

Let’s Talk GAMES!

Almost all Games classes can be completed at Liberty and/or Bridleless (with a few exceptions, like Ride-a-Buck classes).

One of the best parts about Games classes is your horse needs to complete the pattern as written or drawn… but you do not!

For example, in barrel racing, you can: walk with your horse around the barrels OR send your horse around the barrels!

Liberty and Bridleless divisions are scored and placed separately for each class, and yes — you can absolutely compete in BOTH divisions if you want to!

Games are one of our favorite classes because they naturally bring out the FUN and excitement in every horse-and-human team. 💛

Did you know we used the word “equine” in our organization name intentionally?

That’s because it’s not JUST about the horses, we happily welcome donkeys and mules as well!

Donkeys and mules can get a bad rap for being “stubborn” but in our experience they’re just incredibly smart. Which means…they can be incredible liberty and bridles partners!

If you have a donkey or mule as your equine, let us know and share a bit about them in the comments. 😊

North Central Liberty Horse Club is hosting a show on May 16th in Cedarburg, WI!

They’re offering a really fun award as well - the Liberty Versatility Award and the Brideless Versatility Award. To qualify competitors will need to enter 3 different classes in either Liberty or bridleless. What a fun way to try something new!
