Something beautiful is blooming on May 17th. ✨🌸

Join Project Beauty for The Beauty of Becoming: A Healing & Empowerment Experience — a soul-nourishing event designed to uplift, inspire, and remind women of their beauty, strength, and worth.

This will be more than just an event. It’s a space for healing, confidence-building, creativity, and connection. Guests will enjoy:
💄 a makeup class for everyday confidence
🪞 a mindset workshop on positive self-talk
🌼 a creative flower crown-making workshop
🥂 refreshments and meaningful community connection

Project Beauty is honored to celebrate our founder, Jo Lam, for being nominated for The Changemaker Award at the 2026 NAWBO Women’s Leadership Forum & Awards. This nomination reflects the impact of her leadership, the boldness of her vision, and the lives being transformed through the mission of Project Beauty.

🛑 SAFE TALK Tips:

When kids feel heard and supported, they are more likely to speak up when something isn’t right.

💄 She looks in the mirror—and something softens
💄 Then suddenly… she sees herself differently ✨

And that moment?
That’s everything.

We are honored to celebrate Jo Lam, Founder and CEO of Project Beauty, on being recognized as a recipient of the Southern Methodist University Profiles in Leadership Award during the SMU 60th Women’s Symposium—a distinguished recognition honoring women whose leadership and service are advancing the lives of women across the Dallas community. ✨

Presented during Women’s History Month, this award reflects not only personal leadership, but measurable community impact. The Profiles in Leadership Award recognizes women whose work helps shape stronger communities through civic influence, advocacy, and the advancement of women in leadership.

For more than seven years, Jo has led Project Beauty with a clear vision: to create meaningful pathways for healing, dignity, and restored confidence for women and teens impacted by trafficking, homelessness, and domestic violence. Under her leadership, Project Beauty has grown into a respected community initiative serving shelters and nonprofit partners across Dallas–Fort Worth, while building programs that center emotional wellness, self-worth, and long-term empowerment.

This recognition places Jo among remarkable women whose leadership continues to influence our region, including Cynt Marshall, Bianca Davis, and Gail Turner—leaders whose work continues to open doors, create opportunity, and elevate others.

For Project Beauty, this moment is also a reflection of what becomes possible when community partners, brands, corporate supporters, and donors choose to invest in work that changes lives. Every partnership helps expand our ability to reach more women, strengthen more programs, and create more moments of transformation where women are reminded that their past does not define their future.
