Project Beauty was honored to attend the Orchid Giving Circle Grant Ceremony, and we are incredibly grateful to be selected as a grant recipient this year. 🎉

This support comes at such an exciting time as we prepare to launch our first Workforce Development Program this November—expanding the way we serve beyond healing and restoration into creating pathways toward financial independence and long-term stability.

For our first cohort, participants will receive training and resources to become tax preparers, creating an opportunity to develop a new skill, generate additional income, and potentially build a new career path.

What a beautiful celebration of community, connection, and new beginnings! 🎉

Project Beauty was honored to join New York Life for the ribbon cutting of their beautiful new office in Frisco, Texas, hosted by Frank Messina and his incredible team.

It was such a joy to celebrate this exciting milestone alongside so many impactful individuals and organizations who are doing meaningful work throughout our community. There is something truly special about being in a room filled with people who believe in giving back, creating opportunities, and making a difference.

We’re especially grateful to everyone who stopped by the Project Beauty booth, learned more about our mission, purchased merchandise and affirmation cards, and showed their support for the survivors we serve. Every conversation, purchase, and connection helps us continue this work. 💗

Congratulations to Frank Messina and the entire New York Life team on this exciting new chapter! Here’s to new doors opening—literally and figuratively—and to continuing to build a community where success and impact grow together. 🥂✨

🌸 Project Beauty is honored to be a 2026 Orchid Giving Circle grantee! 🌸

The Orchid Giving Circle is an Asian sisterhood of women across South, East, and Southeast Asian communities who come together through collective giving to create meaningful change across North Texas—especially by empowering women and girls.

As a female-led organization founded by an Asian immigrant woman, this recognition feels especially meaningful to Project Beauty. We’re proud to be part of a growing movement that invests in women, amplifies underrepresented communities, and believes in the power of collective impact. 🦋

And this investment comes at an exciting time.

In Q4 2026, Project Beauty will launch our first-ever official Workforce Development Program, creating new pathways toward workforce readiness, economic opportunity, and financial independence for survivors.

There are moments when you pause and realize just how far a dream can travel. 🦋

We are incredibly honored to be featured in the August issue of D CEO Magazine — a beautiful recognition of the work Project Beauty is doing to restore confidence, dignity, and possibility for survivors across North Texas.

The feature also shares the journey of Project Beauty Founder & CEO Jo Lam — and how she transformed her own lived experience into a purpose-driven mission to help other survivors reclaim their confidence, their identity, and their sense of possibility.

What began with a simple belief — that beauty can be a doorway back to yourself — has grown into a movement powered by survivors, volunteers, donors, partners, shelters, and community leaders who believe that healing deserves to be supported from every angle.

Today, Project Beauty has served more than 30,000 survivors and provided millions of dollars in donated beauty products, wellness resources, and services.

This feature is a reminder that when we choose to turn our experiences into purpose, our stories can become a source of hope for someone else. And sometimes, the most meaningful impact begins with simply believing that change is possible. ✨

Last week, Project Beauty had the honor of participating in the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas 2026 Social Innovation Summit, where our Founder & CEO, Jo Lam, facilitated a breakout session on the power of mindset for fellow social innovators and nonprofit leaders. 🧠

It was an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and meaningful conversations around topics like succession planning, the thoughtful use of AI, and how we can continue strengthening our impact by leaning on one another as a community.

A heartfelt thank you to Frank Santoni, Vice President of Social Innovation & Design at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, for continuing to create innovative opportunities for alumni to stay connected long after the program ends. His leadership has fostered a community where social innovators continue to collaborate, share resources, and support one another well beyond the fellowship.
