The Allie Smiles Foundation came to fruition in 2008 when “Allie,” our founder’s Golden Retriever, died at the age of 2 from an aggressive form of cancer that devastated she and her family. Your support of The Allie Smiles Foundation helps us fund research to find a cure for canine cancer, training of service dogs for our nation’s wounded soldiers, visits to children’s hospitals, food, medicine an
d care for more than 2,500 animals each year. We also support and fund animal enrichment programs to provide training and socialization for animals and provide special care for new pets of temporary homes for animals impacted by natural disasters. Our community is multifaceted. We have created an interactive environment where our supporters are able to submit stories while also being able to read about other people’s journeys. The Allie Smiles Foundation also provides animal lovers and dog owners opportunity to obtain valuable information about the humane society though weekly updates, current research facts, and interesting tidbit's on your best friend. Not to mention our expert, Aaron Stewart, is also readily available to answer questions and give quick feed on any concerns that you may have as a dog owner. Many involved in the Allie Smiles Foundation are pet owners and understand the importance of being educated on animal safety, care and well-being; as well as being apart of a community that supports one another.
