The Commemorative Air Force P-40 Sponsor Group's Curtiss P-40N Warhawk started its life as P-40N-1-CU U.S. Army Air Corps Serial Number 42-105867. On the 17th of September, 1943, the aircraft was sold to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in Alaska and was subsequently designated Kittyhawk Mk. IV #867 and served with RCAF No. 111 (F) and No. 135 (F) Squadrons until she was sold surplus in 1947. T

he Confederate Air Force, now the Commemorative Air Force, obtained the aircraft in 1965 and has since been a regular attraction at airshows across the United States. Currently, the CAF P-40 wears the markings of legend fighter ace Brig. David Lee "Tex" Hill of the famous American Volunteer Group (AVG), better known as the "Flying Tigers." The CAF P-40 is available for static displays, fly-bys, aerobatic routines and as a part of the iconic TORA!
